Terrible service from GrabFood

Ordered for the first time via the app and it took close to 30 mins just to link up my Grab app to the GrabFood app because of a “connection error”. Was about to give up when it finally linked but I was once again stuck for ages trying to use GrabPay for the payment.

To make matters worse, the driver arrived an hour later than the estimated time. Granted the weather was bad that day, but the driver didn’t even take the initiative to contact me telling me my order was going to be delayed and when I finally reached him, he told me he was on another delivery, and this was already 45 mins into his lateness.

The last straw came when I received my food orders and the order was wrong, and I received an item that was priced lower than the item I actually ordered. I wrote in to Grab that very night and in the reply that took 3 days to arrive, I was simply told they were going to “investigate the matter and educate their drivers”. I wrote back and asked if that was going to be their ONLY response (btw: A wrong order situation happened with Honestbee before and after writing in they immediately offered me a $5 discount on my next purchase on top of the whole education thing), and to my absolute disgust the staff just repeated the same old thing without offering any form of monetary compensation.

That was my first, and definitely my last and only time using the app. I wish I could give this zero stars but unfortunately I can’t.

Great App To Grab Rides, Food & Shopping!

Appreciate the recent enhancements to the Grab App to make navigation more user-friendly. Grab seems to have risen to become a leader in the pack in terms of the app-ride market and really grateful to its food delivery service that not only provides much convenience to me but also added a lot more food selection variety recently. The recent promotions also makes ordering very tempting, just to enjoy stay-in nights with family over dinner and Netflix! Noticed Grabpay has also increased in their collaborations with retailers that I really like such as New Moon etc and now it’s even tightening its partnership with my main bank, UOB. I know which app to go to grab the best rides, best food and best deal!! What about you?

Terrible waiting time

Tried out the app recently and it seemed fine except that after ordering, the food doesn’t reach you till close to 1.5 hours later. It’s not the restaurant’s fault cause the food is already prepared and honestly I think it’s just false advertising if the app says the delivery arrival time will be 8:10 and you only get your food at 9:30. I ordered my meal at 7:25 FYI. It just assumes that people have the time to wait an extra 1-2 hours for a meal they don’t even know will arrive (because the app doesn’t update you about whether your delivery will be delayed). Plus they have this “pay an extra dollar to help drivers get on the road” thing that’s supposed to incentivise drivers to deliver but why should you even ask customers to pay on top of the $4 delivery when this is a backend thing? I think I can walk to the restaurant and back before my food from this app ever arrives. Ordered twice and both times were infuriating.
