Mobile Deposit Bugs
Before this new update I was having a problem with mobile deposit. While taking a picture of the back of the check the app would annoyingly keep insisting I flip the check even though I didn’t need to. This would eventually happen enough times that I would be able to use manual capture. Why isn’t manual capture an option from the beginning?
Well I updated the app hoping this glitch would get fixed... well it was just replaced with an even more annoying and inconvenient one. Now when the app captures the photo it immediately logs me out saying I’ve “timed out”. So, now I can’t even use Mobile Deposit. Luckily I don’t hate visiting my local CU, but it really is an inconvenience considering it’s not in my neighborhood and technology could be making CU use so much more convenient and reliable.
Overall I am a fan of Patelco and I’m happy an app even exists. But I do hope that this glitch can be quickly fixed.
“Improvements” net negative
So they have Touch ID but have to tap login first? It takes an inordinate amount of time to load. Then you get to a dashboard page just like their desktop which I don’t like either - maybe cause I don’t have multiple accounts (who does?) - just checking, savings and a credit card. I tap on “checking” on the dashboard and I get to a page that show me my checking, savings, and CC - again?! I would’ve expected to go to my checking account? It’s just like the desktop world where you’re trying to reduce clicks/friction. I know this isn’t part of their app but their alerts used to be real time. I buy something and I get a text. Now it comes hours later - sometimes the next day. Mobile check deposit and a logout button that remains constant are the only saving graces of the updated app. We’re tech dependent - make it easy and frictionless.
I have had issues with mobile deposit since back in December. I have called and sent messages. I have uninstalled and re-installed multiple times. Just did again as received message problem fixed. NOT.
I get logged out automatically while flipping the check to get the other side and get Cannot Authenticate and get logged out. Even tried to Reply to the message I had received and was logged out before could send. What started nice is quickly going downhill. Improvement? None. Can set for Touch Login, but have to select (press Touch Login) first and then can use Touch Login. Huh? None of the other banks or apps have to do that. Branch service is nice. Mobile banking is so needed! Good Mobile Banking is needed. Not this!
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
