Version 6.2.1

In the previous version of the Virgin Mobile app, you can use the camera on your iPhone to scan your credit card for quick entry. We’ve also made improvements to Member Benefits to make taking advantage of the great offers and sweepstakes even easier.

In this version, a few bugs were fixed.

Pin Bug


Some Virgin Mobile customers have PIN numbers in excess of six digits (I’m one of them). Logging into the app never used to be an issue, but now it seems only six digit pins may be input. It seems to me it’d be less work for the dev team to change it back/institute new changes to accommodate us, than for us to call customer service en masse in order to change our pins to less-secure numbers.



Cannot view benefits. Each time I attempt it says “session expired. Please login.”

Major Bug within Initial Privacy Permission Requests


Downloaded the app just today given I have recently joined Virgin. Upon downloading the app and opening it the dialogue boxes that appear for granting permission for notifications and location services spammed indefinitely. Restarted the phone given ever time I unlocked the device it would reopen the app.

Solution to the issue was to check the widget page on the phone to open a different app within spotlight search. Upon doing so the dialogue boxes loaded one at a time and allowed me to click on an option.

This needs to be fixed asap given I am a pretty educated user. Most people would have likely needed customer support in some manner given the extensive work around needed to get out of the loop.
