Would be 5 stars...
Would rate the app five stars if the customer would get points from online orders or subscriptions. Since there is not a location within 20 minutes from my residence which is northern central Phoenix I would benefit from a subscription order because I buy CBTL retail items and make drinks from home. Since I spend a lot of money I to receive the rewards from points on every trip I take to a location. Points/rewards is the only way CBTL recognizes loyal customers yet points cannot be added to the app from purchasing online orders from the app. This absolutely makes zero sense. The current system is a good way to create loyal customers or to thank customers. With that said, once you are a loyal customer and spend the amount of money as I do the company needs to come up with a better way to thank those customers because the app shows the amount of money customers are spending. As much money as I spend I should have a permanent discount on all orders.
Love CB but app needs improvement
Absolutely love Coffee Bean and happy that they have started a mobile order process. But the app still needs a lot of improvement. 1) Promos aren’t applied at the end of a mobile order, you have to start the order from the promo. 2) Extra, unnecessary step when choosing a store. You select the location, and instead of taking you straight to a menu, you go to an unnecessary screen that says “start order now”. 3) Current balance does not refresh automatically/accurately. 4) Reloading from mobile order should be one-step process in same screen; not how it currently takes you to another screen.
We won’t get mad if you take tips from the Starbucks mobile app. Their mobile ordering process is pretty flawless. Thanks!
So far so bad
I just recently switched from Starbucks to CBTL. But what I loved from Starbucks was the ease of mobile ordering- customizing all my drinks, and paying. So far I have tried to place three mobile orders on the way to work, and always end up with an error message. The team at CBTL near me wasn’t able to help, and customization of my drinks through the app was difficult and clunky. I also do not like that tea lattes cannot come unsweetened-meaning they have a pre-made add-in (although that is a problem with their product over their app functionality). All in all, I’m not super impressed with this app and it has actually made more work for me rather than made it easier. Hopefully mobile ordering will be fixed.
