This innovative app works with labels and boxes to keep track of your personal belongings when you’re prepping for a move or storing items for future use.
Simply purchase Duck Pack & Track (TM) labels, download the app and you will be on your way to smarter storage.
· How it Works ·
Before you get started, make sure you purchase custom Duck Pack & Track (TM) labels online or at a retailer near you.
· Label the Box ·
Write a descriptive name on your Duck Pack & Track label about the contents of the box. Make sure that each box name is only used once.
· Scan the Label ·
Access the Duck Pack & Track app on your smartphone and use the “Scan” button. This will open your smartphone camera and you can now scan barcode off your box. When prompted, speak or type the name of your box.
· Speak or Type the Contents ·
Add items to your box by speaking or typing in the app. Use the word “and” to add more than 1 item at once, for example, “pots and pans.”
Find the Items
There are two ways to find items in the app when you’re ready to locate your belongings:
1. Scan the label on the outside of the box with your smartphone camera to pull up a full list of the contents.
2. Use the “Find” function in the app to locate items. Simply speak or type the item you’re looking for and Duck Pack & Track will tell you the box it is in.
It’s that easy!
Ratings and Reviews
Good start. Room for improvement.
There is a great value in the use of this software. It has kept us organized and the use of photos is great.
That said, they need to work on keeping the text when you search — everything clears when you back out of investigating a box’s contents and must start from scratch. It should work more like a search engine with a history, if possible using the words you used when writing your contents as the actual dictionary. That would be so efficient and helpful, as many people forget how they wrote the description of the contents.
Second, in their legalese they don’t guarantee safety of data. In the last update I lost half of my photos :( — screenshots of all boxes would have been smart in hindsight.
Overall, I find the utility and value has far outweighed the challenges stated above and will still use it next move.
Ok. A lot of room for improvement.
My main issue with this app is the search function. I have multiple items that are the same in different boxes but it only gives me one search result. So if for example I have shirts in multiple boxes, it only shows me the location as one box. If it listed all the different locations of all my shirts it would be nice. I could also do without the robotic woman slowly telling me where the items are.
After submitting your email for cloud sync/storage the email link goes to an insecure page to create a password :(
If they can’t secure a password creation page for cloud service how can you trust their cloud storage security!
Someone else questioned this a month ago and still not addressed!

Whoops, it is now secured with SSL thanks.
