Ratings and Reviews
Do the developers actually play their own game? I know games are supposed to be challenging, but has anyone REALLY managed to trigger warp lightening 3 or 4 times in a single run? After the first trigger, you get fewer enemies and more obstacles. How about giving the Doomwheel more lives than three? I’ve got about 90% of the world conquered but can’t find a way to possibly get by the two regions that want me to trigger warp lightening multiple times in a single run.
Grindy but fun
When I saw a warhammer game on sale for free I promptly downloaded it. I assumed it was another one of their tactics games. I was wrong. I can’t say I’m a fan of this type of game, but the the visuals are interesting. Only issue I could see people having is the grinding aspect of the game. Also, I’m surprised the rats in the wheel don’t regain health after a certain distance.
Thought I'd add a bit more detail now that I've put in quite a bit of time.
This is probably my favorite game of this type. Fun gameplay, excellent graphics, and a compelling, but not frustrating, progression system.
I'd love to see new content in the future. I'd gladly shell out a few more bucks for new enemies, territories, or features.
If this game gets regular updates, I can see it becoming a very popular franchise.
I do have a question: conquered territories still offer missions, but there's no visible reward for completing those missions. Am I missing something?
Developer Response ,
Thanks for the review, Luke! We hope Doomwheel helped pass some time during the hurricane.
Update: we just released more content, hope you enjoy the Tomb Kings and Clan Pestilens. Also in the 1.1 update completing missions will give you a small warpstone reward, thanks for the suggestion.
