Ratings and Reviews
Not the continuum we were waiting for.
Before I say anything, I do not despise this game though I do not enjoy it either. One of the main reasons I enjoyed the first Rolling Sky so much was its simplicity and basic nature, you know, the simple character and level designs. With this game I feel they scraped those amazing features and replaced them with highly detailed nonsense. When I heard that Rolling Sky 2 came out, I thought we were going to get a higher quality, minimalistic, game that was going to follow the original Rolling Sky formula, but what we got instead was a highly detailed game that completely destroys what you would think when someone mentions Rolling Sky. Not to mention that this so called “continuum” of the first Rolling Sky in no way links the two universes of Rolling Sky 1 and Rolling Sky 2, one features a ball that you move around to avoid obstacles and the other features a variety of story like levels and people that move on terrain and hop on birds to fly in the sky. As a conclusion, I was extremely disappointed in this game as it takes everything I thought was good about the original Rolling Sky and throws it straight into the trash, this is not to say that this wouldn’t appeal to other people; but rather this is how I feel about this game and how I feel like Cheetah Mobile could improve it. Thank you for reading this review.
Both Good And Bad
Don’t get me wrong, the overall game is actually better than I expected. The music is really soothing, the concept of the game is genius, and the levels all look amazing. Yet sometimes the game glitches a little, and the next thing I know, I die just by somehow just falling right through the floor. I just hope someday the game experience will be smoother and I won’t be going through the floor if it isn’t intended (most important!) Plus, THE ADDS!!! For about 2 times you fail a level, there’s one add waiting for you. The games actually look like a lot of fun, but they’re just exploding with adds in Rolling Sky 2. The prices for the perks in the game is just ridiculous. You have to spend 6-7 dollars just to CLEAR the adds. I would lower the price to just about 1.99 if I were one of the game developers. Well, in conclusion, the game’s great, just lower the prices for stuff, lower the add spamming, and please fix the glitch I talked about in the beginning of this report. Oh, and one more thing, please add more than 1 level soon, I would love great levels added every month or so. That’s all. I hope this was helpful to those who are about to download the game. Game developers, I hope you would take the time to read this and fix some of the thing I told you about in this report.
Hi I played rolling sky pretty early on and kept playing for a long long time, I was super excited when I saw that rolling sky 2 was in the App Store I downloaded it immediately. After I opened up the app I really loved the look and music it felt well polished but after I played for a few minutes I got a little tired of looking at ads so much and after looking at the ad being pushed to buy no ads for 5.99 then after that trying to collect gems after realizing that the only way to unlock new levels was by collecting 100 gems, that wouldn’t be that bad if not for the weird time delay on tapping the floating music note and being able to exit out of it. I can’t help but feel punished for wanting to play and feel pushed to buy buy buy. One more thing that I really makes me feel sad about the way you guys have taken this game is by then also adding the “lives” mechanic it just feels like you guys don’t want your customers to pay unless they give you a constant stream of money. I’m disappointed and I really hope that my review will be taken into consideration. I really hope the team can turn this around because I want to love this game.
