SignalScope turns your iOS device into a powerful real-time spectrum analyzer and oscilloscope. Easily measure audible frequencies in SignalScope’s FFT analyzer. “Touch” your data with highly interactive, multi-touch enabled analyzer displays. See for video demos.

Input signals can be acquired from the built-in accelerometer, or from the current audio input path.

- Analyze signals coming from the iOS device’s current audio input source, or from the built-in accelerometer.
- Assign input channel units and sensitivities for individual USB Audio devices. Direct support is included for the Digiducer 333D01 accelerometer and miniDSP UMIK-1 measurement microphone.
- Manually switch between available audio input sources.
- Load microphone frequency response data (FRD) and apply frequency response correction (FRC) to FFT spectrum measurements.
- Audio input is typically sampled at 48 kHz or 44.1 kHz (higher and lower sample rates are possible, even up to 192 kHz, with hardware that supports it). Built-in accelerometer data is sampled at roughly 100 Hz.
- Zoom in or out on spectrum and waveform displays with two-finger expand/pinch gestures, even while the analyzer is running.
- Pan vertically or horizontally in zoomed displays with two-finger scrolling.
- Pinpoint individual sample values or frequencies with a cursor.
- Save high-resolution spectrum or waveform display images as PDF files or as JPEG images in the iPhone's Camera Roll photo album.

SignalScope supports full and partial upgrades to the additional tools and functionality offered in SignalScope Pro. Upgrades may be purchased via in-app purchase.

- Cursor peak track is properly enabled by the switch in the Octave analyzer options menu (the Octave analyzer tool is available via in-app purchase).
- Auto Stop completely stops the Octave tool, so there’s no need to tap the start/stop button twice to restart it.
- Other minor cosmetic improvements and bug fixes.

SignalScope 6.1
- GPS coordinates, altitude, and accuracy may now optionally be saved with FFT, Oscope, and Octave analyzer data. Retrieving location information now works on iOS 8 for the Meter tool, which can also export more detailed location information. (One or more in-app purchases required.)
- More measurement information may be displayed when the cursor is active in the Octave analyzer plot, depending on the screen size. (In-app purchase required.)
- A bug has been fixed, which could cause the app to crash when using FFT smoothing with the built-in accelerometer.
- When viewing details for files saved within the app, the Open In button now works properly on both iOS 7 and iOS 8. Depending on the file type and the apps installed and/or configured on your iOS device, options may be presented for emailing, previewing, printing or copying the file, in addition to opening the file in another app.
- A plotting issue with mixed acoustic and non-acoustic FFT spectra has been resolved (when loaded measurements differ from live spectra). (In-app purchase required.)

SignalScope 6.0
- Live FFT data can now be overlaid on up to 7 FFT curves loaded from existing data files (CSV, MAT, or text data files exported from the FFT tab in SignalScope Pro). Data may be loaded from individual channels stored in multi-channel FFT data files (requires the Data Acquisition Upgrade, available via in-app purchase).
- The Octave tool, can now overlay up to 6 octave or 1/3-octave curves on the live bar graph. These curves may be loaded from existing data files (CSV, MAT, or text data files exported from the Octave tab in SignalScope Pro). Data may be loaded from individual channels stored in multi-channel Octave data files (requires the Octave RTA and Data Acquisition upgrades, available via in-app purchase).
- SignalScope now supports fractional octave band grouping of FFT data (1/6, 1/12, and 1/24 octave bandwidths).
- Built in support for iTestMic and iAudioInterface2 from Studio Six Digital.
- Built-in support for automatic downloading of sensitivity data for the Dayton UMM-6 USB measurement microphone.
- SignalScope 6 employs a new plotting framework for real-time data graphs and high resolution image export.
- The black color scheme now uses black status bar, toolbar, and tab bar backgrounds.
- Support for drawing directly to an external screen (from iPad) has been removed in favor of screen mirroring, which is handled by iOS.
- Audio hardware input and output options are now presented from a separate toolbar button, which looks like a microphone, on iPad, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
- It is possible to adjust the line thickness of live and loaded frequency response data. The opacity of loaded data can also be adjusted in order to make the live data stand out in the graph.
- The oscilloscope time scale can now be set from the oscilloscope options menu.
- Saving an audio file no longer causes a crash when working with large Oscope time scales (file export requires the Data Acquisition Upgrade, available via in-app purchase).
