Frustration

It seems to have been awhile since the last update. Here lately I have had a few frustration that have forced me to delete then reload the Facebook app. One of the issues was while watching a video on the app there was an alert that popped up on my phone that said I had won money and the only thing I could do was click "Ok". Not knowing where this alert came from I did not feel it was safe to click "Ok" and had to exit out of Facebook and delete the app. Again this happened three times and because of it I no longer watch videos through this app. The other issue that has been happening is this app will completely freeze not allowing me to do anything with it at all. This also forces me to delete the app. Needless to say I am no longer going to use this app because I am tired of deleting and reloading it. Time to find another way to get my daily dose of social media.

The Facebook

Facebook's mobile app is ok. It works pretty good but sometimes there's glitches in the matrix. The app has lots of features and is very bulky. My biggest grip is the lack of landscape even after countless updates. I don't understand why they can't add support for it.

My not such a big deal, but is annoying is the removal of messenger. Even though it's been long gone, I still miss it. I don't like being told to download more apps I'm very sure it won't be back but I still would like a basic version of it.

If for some reason you're not already a member, I might not recommend joining. Facebook has community standard that are very vague and hardly enforced. Offensive content doesn't always get removed even after complaints are reviewed.

Only a few bugs

Facebook has been much improved on the iPhone. It's good enough that my main complaints with Facebook have nothing to do with the app.

It does appear to crash from time to time. Many times, when I go into the app, it looks the same as when I left it earlier. At least once a day, it shows a blank screen and then goes through a sequence indicating that it's starting up after a crash. I can't tell if this is by design or not. I do have crash reporting turned on, so they'll get notified if it is, in fact, crashing.

There is a significant flaw in the app. If someone certified makes a post, the white check mark in a blue circle does not appear like I think it should on the post. If someone takes a screen shot of a post, you can't tell right away if the poster is certified or not.

My biggest gripe with Facebook is the overemphasis on birthdays. I have enough friends that my News Feed is sometimes flooded with 40 posts wishing someone a happy birthday. I would like to tone this down to a one-line announcement.
