Doesn't even load Ground Zero...

I can't even see the Street View of one of the most iconic sites in the world... Yet I can see my entire rural neighborhood in HD. Not much else needs to be said, I'm sure Google is aware of the other plethora of problems plaguing the App and is working towards a solution, but until then... A dual star rating is all that's really needed for the current version of the App. (Though I'll voice some of my other opinions and concerns anyway.... Freedom of speech and all that other jazz good Ol Merica is about. Please don't 'attack' me over an opinion. Or do, it's your right after all.)

I'm a fan of things that work and that are good. While this App is "good", the problems within it weigh it down severely. An quick example of another problem is: when I used it for about 5 - 10 minutes a message appeared telling me that Google Earths memory was low, which in turn lowered the load times and clarity even more harshly. It's unfortunate, but what can the average consumer do but complain and hope it gets fixed. It is free after all, so you really can't go up in arms and boycott without looking like a smacked rear end, and it's still one of the very few Apps without micro-transactions (at least to my knowledge) which at this point is a God send for any App across any platform.

Still fun to mess around with though, when your bored or curious about a certain area of the world or even your own backyard. Or your neighbors backyard. Quite literally.

It's still good, but...

I just opened the app and was notified that the Google app would slow down my iPad as it still needs to be updated for best compatibility w/ iOS10. Something every other app was ready for & updated almost immediately after the iOS 10 was available for iPad & iPhone-- what's up with that? The last version update was May 2016...jeez. Not good for a respected & innovative (up until now?) tech company.

Also read other reviews regarding slow download w/WiFi unless one has really fast WiFi speed. Valuable aspects of the app are no longer available since latest update should be brought back. A few other reviewers asked that historical maps available --something I'd also absolutely love & would use!

This is such a cool & interesting app, I just love it. But it seems that long time users have issues w/the latest update that I agree need to be fixed, brought back or are available on a desktop & need to be made available for mobile devices. As one reviewer noted "desktops are going the way of landlines..." Please update for iOS 10 on mobile devices compatibility ASAP. (And act on the valid points & suggestions made by those who took the time to review your app.) Seriously, what's the holdup, why the delay???

(Note: I wish the were like buttons on reviews so that one could give a thumbs up to reviews that make suggestions or comments one agrees with &/or finds most useful. Maybe then app developers would pay more attention to user reviews.)

PLEASE ADD HISTORICAL SATELLITE MAPS

Please add the historical timeline maps that can only be accessed on desktop. Desktop is becoming obsolete just like home phones. Please bring this feature to the iPad pros, iPhones, instead of just more desktops/macs. Those old satellite photos have helped me in the past when explaining to younger generations that the subdivision they live in and the Walmart up the street use to be all a dairy farm, and the 5 lane street (on both sides) that they live near use to be just a two lane road. They were amazed when I showed them the proof on the google earth historical timeline of satellite maps. Today, it would be useful for me (I don't use desk tops or Macs... Only iPad pros, tablets, iPhones.. Anything that I can carry and travel with.) it would be helpful finding out the landscaping history of the property I live on ( where there trees in this area?) ....
