Very Simple to Play
Overall, this app is decent. I don't think it's really worth paying for. It's fun at first, and addicting after you've been playing. It's very simple to play, and nice when I get tired of Fish Tycoon (which, while it has more features and is overall better, it can be too complex when you want something more relaxing). Some more features and fish would be nice. And more backgrounds. My biggest complaint is that you can't view the whole tank at the same time (it would be nice if you could zoom in and out). I would also like to see fish acting like their real-life counterparts act (catfish usually stay at the bottom of the tank, most tetras school and stay in groups). Some more variety in the fish would be nice (many of the fish are very similar colours). The newest update was supposed to allow you to breed fish--I've yet to figure out how.
Not that good...
The fishes aren't that "real" in appearance; as a matter of fact, their tails are the only mobile part of the whole fish while the stiff body moves across the screen like a 2-D figure. There isn't much too do other than grow your fish, keep your favorite ones, and then sell the rest for more money. You then use that money to buy more fish, which you end up selling in the end for yet more money or just fill up your tank too spend hours watching some 2-D action (no love making, but microscopic fish randomly appear in which to signify that there has been "invisible" love making). The variety of the fishes are a bit limited and the fishing mini-game is somewhat fun, but hey, what can you expect for a dollar? Overall, I think you should buy this app only if you have extra money on you.......or if you feel obligated to donate in the hopes of this app becoming a bit more "active" in animation and market.
considering the other app that's out there showing the one little clown fish eating mints for food. This one is a whole lot better. And the recent update has also been helpful too. It'd be even better if you can zoom out so you can see the whole tank itself and not just portions of it as well as starting out with more gold instead of just the 1000. Another thing would be to add other types of community fish such as the small cats. Overall, the app is pretty good. Now if the developer can make another app titled saltwater aquarium, that would be nice too,
