Flashy, but not streamlined

Fuelly changed the Gas Cubby app with this newest update saying it streamlines the process of inputting data. This means that all the fields are on one page. It doesn't mean it made it easier. In the old version, certain fields remained populated so if you went to the same brand or used the same type of gas, you wouldn't have to keep putting that in. That apparently has been thrown out the window. Now you have to scroll through 30-40 different brands. It used to take me less than a minute to enter fuel up. Now it takes several because you have to hit every field and put the info in. There are no next buttons and everything is tiny since it's on one page. One person mentions not updating but that's more trouble than it's worth! I've really enjoyed using Gas Cubby and maybe there's another app out there like it, but if I start liking that one Fuelly will purchase it and &@?! it up like they did this one.
It's about useless! I've stopped using it altogether.
I use Fuel instead. It's a cleaner app so I can track my MPG in a simpler way. So long Gas Cubby! It was good while it lasted!

New Version is a disappointment

As a long time user of the original Gas Cubby app, and a car enthusiast who keeps very detailed records of his four cars, I really dislike a lot of things about the new app.

First, the "reminders" are nothing short of a nightmare. If you don't use the exact job in the app, the reminder triggers even if the job has been done but under a different or custom description. As a result of this I have many, many reminders queued up that won't go away. Having to go in and edit them out is a PITA.

Along the same lines, the jobs or maintenance items are easily duplicated, and goodness forbid that you import a previous vehicle, because now all those jobs associated with the old vehicle, even if they have identical entries already in the app, get brought in. I now have some duplicates of jobs with as many as 4-5 copies. Not easy to edit out, either, because I don't know what vehicle they're associated with, meaning that I might delete a duplicate only to discover it was a valid job for and existing car.

Suffice to say there are other issues that make the newer version less user friendly and move away from the original version's function. I'll continue to use it as-is, but I'm actively seeking a replacement. Sorry.

Invaluable Resource

I could talk for hours about how useful this Gas Cubby/Fuelly is to me but I will cut to the chase. I track five cars in my fleet, and do all my own maintenance on them. Without this app/tool I would have to spend hours just to keep up with all the work that needs to get done. This app keeps it all in one spot. The family gives me their gas receipts with their cars' mileage written on them, I enter it in, and the app lets me know what and when it's due for service. Win, win, win.
