Ordered food at 9:30 (got notification saying the order was placed and it was being made-est time. 10:00-10:10)
I waited till about 10:30 and called the restaurant but since they closed at 10 they couldn’t answer. Called customer service. They said they could help me then put me on hold for 15 min then hung up on me. (It’s about 11:15 now) Called back, someone was able to help this time, but what they told me sounded like complete bs. They said the reason was because they couldn’t find drivers in my area.... FIRST of all why in the hell didn’t they just tell me that before I paid and waited 2 hours!?! And SECOND I live in Charlotte NC... now wouldn’t you think they would have a driver out here?? And THIRD was my food ordered and just left there???? If there was never a driver then why did it say my food was being made!? And they only gave me a 10 dollar coupon for my troubles after promising a full free meal LOL!!! That will cover tax and delivery fee NOT A MEAL. Bottom line. THIS COMPANY IS A SHAM, THEY DO NOT HAVE IT TOGETHER. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME. LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE. My experience all together was so bad I will go out of my way to make sure no one orders from this joke of a “service”.
Terrible service, always a problem
PLEASE AVOID DOWNLOADING THIS APP. Every single time I’ve placed an order with Grubhub, it’s always a problem. The drivers are terrible. The customer service is bad. Ive had to wait hours for my food. I’ve been extremely inconvenienced. I had ordered food today, sushi to be exact, and the driver’s car broke down. Okay I understand that happens to everyone but customer service, BOTH TIMES that I called, kept me on hold for more than 20 minutes. I then get a call from the driver who only speaks Spanish and can not communicate with anyone at the customer service center telling me that her car broke down and her friend is on her way to pick up the raw sushi from her hot car after it’s been sitting there for over an hour so she can deliver it to me. I said no. She kept calling and harassing me. I called customer service. And they put me on hold AGAIN. I couldn’t believe it. This is not the first time something like this has happened. I would avoid ordering from Grubhub altogether if you don’t want to deal with the atrocious service.
One terrible experience
I avidly use grub hub for work(to treat my employees at least twice a week) and personally as well. I've been using grub hub religiously because I never encountered an issue. However, 2 weeks ago I made an order for $85 for some hungry employees. No order number was generated within the app or emailed to me as per usual and what I've come to expect after placing an order. My card was charged.
I called the restaurant and they were never sent my order. I called customer service for grub hub and was told that I had to call my bank and get a refund. I did not want to be a fussy customer but I did not understand why I had to go through the hassle of calling my bank in between my hectic 12 hour shift running a store. This issue shouldn't fall on the customer to make it right since this was clearly an issue with the app and grub hub's system.
Please look into this if possible. Thank you.
