Goodbye omnifocus 2

I thought omnifocus was the best until I got the chance to get this app for free during app week. Thank God! Way more features than omnifocus and less costly. I also have the iPad version and the Mac app which was half off. You don't have to pay extra for some of the features omnifocus makes you pay for. For example, in omnifocus, you have to pay for perspectives which is the essentially the same thing as smart lists in 2do. Also you can create tags which you cannot do in omnifocus. There is a lot more customization in terms of which lists you want to sync to which devices as well which is cool. So if I only want my home list on my computer and not on my iPad and iPhone then I have that option. I just deleted omnifocus today after testing them both for 2 weeks. 2do wins! I didn't give it 5 stars because it uses Dropbox to sync which could be problematic if Dropbox starts experiencing problems or changes its terms of use. Omnifocus uses its own server to sync which is probably why it's soooo expensive.

This app has made me so much more productive

This is my #1 app. Best task app I've found. I love that I can make checklists and projects. It makes being organized super easy.
I love that it syncs with reminders. I love how easy it makes to delay tasks. With the redesign you get a 3 day plus view. This app is worth every penny. I don't understand why Apple doesn't just by this and make it reminders. I love it.

However, in the old version sharing a task was one long press away. I want that back. Also, when you hold a task a small window of buttons pops up for the due date, and you can slide that row and set start dates. I'd like to be able to use that to quickly add a time to the due date because I never set start dates. It would make it easier to reorder your tasks of they are sorted by priority if you could just set times for the most important ones and schedule them in a way that makes sense for you.

This is the best, period!

This app is great. It offers so much flexibility and functionality. The design is not only drop dead gorgeous, but easy to use.

I use it daily to manage both my personal and business tasks, as well as everything else in-between.

I've been using it for years through every version, and haven't once had to pay for an update. Did I mention that it's also a universal app? No separate charges for the iPhone and iPad apps! I also purchased the Mac app, which is just as gorgeous and useful. The developers are not only helpful, but obviously very generous.

I've noticed that some users have complained about the new design, while others have complained about sync issues. The design of this latest version only improves on the previous version. It's called modernization and progress. It fits the iOS 8 style perfectly. I sync with Dropbox rather than iCloud because iCloud is limited by the capabilities of the Reminders app (which this syncs through). Dropbox doesn't sync with Reminders, so it syncs all of my data across all of my devices without loss of data. It really depends on what you're looking for.

If you are looking to get serious about task management, buy this app. It will allow you to develop your own methodology, no matter how simple or complex. It will certainly get you excited about productivity.
