Epicurious Recipes & Shopping List
By Condé Nast Digital
Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
Packed with free features and more than 30,000 of the highest-quality recipes, there’s a reason why home cooks have downloaded the award-winning Epicurious app more than 10 million times since the App Store opened. And our latest version is the ultimate food utility, faster, friendlier and redesigned to be even easier to use.
With our latest release, the app features the world's first intelligent kitchen timer for the Apple Watch. (Don't worry, iPhone users — it works on the phone, too.) Choose from 40+ ingredients from one of five categories — steak, vegetables, chicken & pork, seafood, eggs — and our custom timer will tell you how long just about anything takes to cook. We'll remind you to flip something over and give you pointers on how to tell when it's cooked perfectly.
Finally, an answer to the question: "Hey, is this done yet?"
You can also:
• Store your favorite recipes across all your devices with our recipe box and shopping list.
• Search more than 30,000 of the best recipes from publishers like Gourmet, Bon Appetit, Random House, and more—for free.
• Find out what vegetables are fresh and in-season with our Seasonal Ingredient Finder. NOTE: This features uses your location.
• Go hands-free in the kitchen, using your voice to control the app with Cook Mode.
• Browse inspired recipe collections that update as the seasons change and holidays approach.
We highly recommend you upgrade your operating system on a regular basis. The new Epicurious app for iPhone and iPad works best on IOS 8.

What's New in Version 4.6.1
If you've got an Apple Watch, a wrist, or an iPhone, you're in luck! We've added a slew of new features for our Smart Timer, including the mighty Glance, the astonishing Handoff, and a list of our most popular timers, so you can get cooking without ever unlocking your iPhone.
For everyone who doesn't have Apple Watch? You have to check out our new Smart Timer. It'll tell you how to cook just about anything — no recipes required.
I love this app for what it could be. All the Bon Appetit recipes and more at your fingertips?! What a fantastic resource. Alas, the app developers just can't seem to get it right. It's riddled with bugs of all sorts, the most frustrating being that it seems impossible to retrieve a password. You will NEVER receive the email the app or website promises it sent to you with password reset instructions. I know because I've tried probably 150 times in the past three months. And without the ability to log in, you cannot access saved recipes or save new ones. So disappointing from an app that has such an amazing database to draw on.
Give me back my old Epicurious!
Do you ever wonder if the people who "fix" apps ever use the app themselves? This update clearly says, no! First, when first reading the recipe, the instructions are cut off, forcing the user to go to Cook View, which does not have the ingredients list, so user has to go back and forth between the two pages. Second, the reviews are cut off. Third, the only update that would have been a bonus for me would have been to allow making notes and reviewing recipes on my iPad. Finally, I have emailed epicurious several times, and NEVER have received a response. Totally stinks, crashes constantly.
This is my go to app for recipe look up's. My only complaint is, when I'm using a recipe on my iPad. When my iPad times out and shuts off, when I pull my iPad open again the app goes back to the home page. This is very frustrating, especially when one has dirty hands. Please fix this so that when you click the iPad/iPhone open again, it goes back to the recipe one is using.
