Fallen on hard times, farmer Lewis converts an old bulldozer into a fantastic high-tech “diggin” machine. Help him dig up stuff to sell (60+ unique diggings) in a race against the clock to pay the mortgage and save the farm (campaign mode).

In addition there are 8 mini-game challenge matches, plus open-ended free play mode and even a tutorial game mode for beginners, offering hours of game play.

Manage fuel, temperature, and damage while searching for diggins. Sell them at the farmhouse to earn cash. Save cash to pay the mortgage, upgrade your digger, or make repairs. Use the on-screen “analog” joystick, or touch-screen to control digger movement. Watch out for rocks and caverns that disrupt your path. Have fun!

Brings Back Memories of Motherload

If you have played the PC game Motherload Goldium, you know what I am talking about. This game features the same layout as the PC hit, with a few alterations. For those who haven't played Motherload, the game consists of you as a digger with a variety of valuables (ores, gems, etc.) under the surface which are generated randomly and are sold at the surface for money. Money is used to upgrade your digger, refuel, and contribute to completing some missions. I enjoy the random factor to the valuables that spawn under the surface; I can have some "bad" games where I don't find valuables at the start, and some games where I get lucky and get a valuable near the surface. The likelihood of getting a more valuable find increases as you dig deeper, and so does the risk for death.

Some key differences in this game (opposed to Motherload) include the variety of different game types. There are speed challenges in which you must navigate through a set path to reach the end and some income raising challenges (just hit a given money value). I REALLY enjoyed the boss fight Motherload offered however, so my biggest suggestion would be to add one (maybe a new game type with a boss at the center of the earth?)

Overall, an easy 5 stars, especially since I scored this game for free. If the price goes back to 99 cents, I would still recommend trying this one. Thanks for reading! If this review was helpful, please click the link below.

Dig to the center of the earth!

fantastic graphics, challenging gameplay and wonderful auto-save feature. the screen is laid out nicely. a virtual joystick is provided to control your digger, however at times, the more precise movement is a little challenging. a comprehensive tutorial is provided allowing you to train and learn the game basics.

there are several levels, upgrades and a wide range of treasures and dangerous obstacles beneath the surface. the game is addictive and a great way to pass the time and thanks to the appreciated auto-save feature, you can simply continue your digging from where you left the game.

Great game!

For those of you who, like me, we're looking for Motherload on the App Store and found this instead, buy it.

Let me make this clear: it is not Motherload. It is not better than Motherload, it is not (in my opinion) as good as Motherload. But it's the next best thing, and it's not a bad second. I haven't been playing long, but I already love the gameplay. I do wish there were a couple if features closer to Motherload, such as teleporting and the smaller explosive, and minerals, with names and colors, not just slight shape variations. But it's still worth the dollar.
