Absolutely love it
I cannot say enough good things about this dropbox app on my iPhone and my iPad. I wish when I got these devices I actually loaded dropbox to it but now that I have it, it has changed the quality of my business life. I am self-employed work onsite when I go to my clients office and dropbox keeps me connected to my world! I have access to all my files at all times. And paired with Microsoft word and excel I can easily update my documents. I also use it to back up all my files on my computer. Dropbox is priceless and a great app!!
NEEDS OPTION TO DELETE APP CACHE!
I really like Dropbox but lately the offerings from competitors for storage space/pricing are just too good to stick with Dropbox. If this changed I would definitely stick around but I understand that they're not really in position to do so.
One thing this app really needs is an option to clear out the cache. Every time you open a file to view, browse through pictures etc the cache grows with really no way of clearing besides deleting and reinstalling the app which is a huge pain. This feature alone would earn at least another star.
Getting better but still a few issues
It would be great if it didn't rename files when uploading. It's also inconsistent in how it does so. For example, if I upload a photo from within the app, it gets called "photo" plus the date plus a ".jpg" extension, but if I upload the same photo via the Dropbox plugin to Photos app, it gets called "file" plus the date plus a ".jpeg" extension. The file name should be the same as whatever it is on the iPhone without being changed by Dropbox one way or the other. The file properties (creation date, etc.) should likewise not be changed.
