*Due to contractual limitations with certain content, especially
play-by-play broadcasts, there are times when the schedule that's on-air
won't match the schedule that's online. While we make every effort to update
the schedule, occasionally the nature of play-by-play broadcasting limits
our ability to accurately present the latest schedule (ie., rain delays,
last minute schedule changes). We apologize for any inconvenience this
causes. If you have specific schedule questions, please contact the station

What's New in Version 4.7.4
Sound still cuts in and out
***9/29 I don't know if you are actually reading these, but it's worth a shot right? This morning, within twenty minutes time, the sound went in and out and I restarted the app three times before I gave up and opened ESPN Radio 1060. Please please find out why this is happening and fix it once and for all!***
**9/24 - updated an hour ago, app has crashed twice**
Third time - I'm not going to change the review I already wrote because the problem is the same...used the app for about a half hour after the 9/15 bug fix and it started skipping. So close to full functionality! I use this app from five a.m. to one p.m. Monday through Friday and just let it play so disabling the functions others have mentioned doesn't affect me personally but that sounds like a feature you should have re-thought removing. I still cannot use the app without constantly closing and reopening because of the sound cutting in and out the entire time. It's like listening to a skipping record. Back to listening to news out of Portland Oregon even though I'm in New York, and I can only do that until 9 a.m. EST because the Oregon station has a local show that starts at six their time.
Crashing and No Seeking
I wish I could uninstall the last couple of updates... Crashing has always be a problem but it's gotten much worse, especially with the podcasts. If I'm listening to one podcast and want to look through another podcast to see if the latest one has been uploaded, the app crashes every time. I've also had it happen with live radio, but much less frequently.
Something else they changed recently is they took away the ability to pause and seek live radio. This is especially frustrating to me because I listen at work and frequently need to step away from my desk. Why did they take this away? I remember when I use to be able to pause for a of couple hours...
Something I think would be a nice addition to the app is the ability to save my favorite podcasts. Currently I have to scroll through the massive amount of podcasts to get to the one I want (which isn't a big deal in the big picture) or I have to search for it (see crashing issue I stated above). Just a thought.
I love ESPN, but this app is currently one of the worst functioning apps I have ever had...
The worst app ever made...
It's really hard to believe how bad this app is. You would think a company of this size could hire a competent person to develop an app that actually works. I have @ 60 apps installed on my phone , and this is the worst one by far , not even close. I'm actually happy when listening if I can get through one segment / guest without it skipping , crashing or making strange noises . When possible I just listen to my local radio sports app because at least I can hear them . It's become obvious that ESPN doesn't want this app to work .
