Customizing an item in to a pre-existing favorite will fill in the heart
Previous items saved as favorites will fill in the heart
Duplicating favorites provides the correct Favorite status
You can save your favorite items by tapping the heart in your order
Tap Add another item, or “Menu and Favorites” to view your list of Favorites, then one click to add them to your order

I've had the Starbucks app since it was first introduced and since it has been upgraded to its current version, I have used it nearly every day. The features to date are awesome and they can't make it easier for you to make quick purchases without having to wait in, at times, extremely long lines. The only suggestion I have is to enable contacting Customer Service via the mobile app. As of now (or at least from what I've experienced), Customer Service can be contacted through their website. If there's a way to send a support message somehow directly from the app, the convenience that would offer would certainly be another great feature this app offers! Also, I have experienced from time to time items in which I placed via mobile order, but am told by the store that the item is out of stock at the time of pick-up. Otherwise, I LOVE THIS APP!
Mobile order makes this a 5 star app
Not 10 minutes ago, I had gone to get some groceries. On my way to the checkout, I placed my mobile order using the app and finished with my grocery purchase. I then proceeded to my car and headed to Starbucks to pick up my order. Well to say the place was busy would be an understatement. The parking lot was full as was the lot next door (a restaurant that doesn't open until lunch), and the drive through, well let's just say that there wasn't a whole lot of driving, or room to drive. No matter. I parked at the Arby's and walked a hundred feet or so to the store and it was lined up to the door (and wrapped around inside for that matter). I politely walked to the pickup counter where my drinks were waiting for my enjoyment. Well played Starbucks app mobile order. You've made my morning brighter!
I absolutely love the app and the fact that they allow you to order online and skip the line at the store. Since most of the stores I visit are so busy, this really helps avoid a long wait. The app also has everything you can order in the store. Some companies limit their online menu, but not Starbucks! The only thing I wish was available through the app is a section for special instructions. I like to order the cold brew and put my protein shake in it instead of the vanilla sweet cream (trying to lose weight), but they always have to pour some out and it's wasteful. If there were a section for me to tell the barista to only fill the cup 3/4 of the way full I could avoid being wasteful. Other than that, it's great! I use it almost everyday!
