Picup is a native iPhone Application that facilitates file uploads to the web. Since Mobile Safari doesn't support file-upload form fields, a webapp can instruct Picup to choose and upload a one or more files. Once the upload is complete, Picup returns control to the webapp with information about the upload.

Picup can also be used as a stand-alone file uploader to services like and Dropbox.

The Picup API is compatible with webapps as well as native iOS apps.

remote url missing.

not really sure what went wrong with what was such a simple app, (and by all means, the technical info is nice) but now pure functionality and a user-friendly interface has been replaced with complicated and complex. it took me several tries of clicking through a good twenty menus, uploading and re-uploading images to finally get a remote link. i've no idea what went wrong, and i definitely didn't do anything out of the ordinary. i don't even know what i did - if anything - to make the sixth upload link finally show. this needs to be fixed, otherwise i simply won't be able to use (much less WANT to use) the app.

Very buggy, would not recommend.

The app crashes mid-upload. The file that was being uploaded may or may not be available after the crash in the history list to retry. The process for selecting multiple photos to upload is cumbersome and takes more taps and repetitive screens than necessary. Multiple photos can't be grouped in an album - you can only get individual links to the photos. The app does not support imgur accounts - only anonymous uploads are supported (or at least it is not evident how to sign in with your own imgur account). There is a fancy animation of the upload process that adds no value to the upload itself - one wishes that the developer dogfooded the app and ironed out the bugs instead of focussing on eye candy.

Excellent for Web App Integration

I needed a way to upload multiple photos from our field staff into our internal website using their iPhones.

Picup fits the bill perfectly. Very nice interface and all the options I could want.

It takes a bit of time to get everything setup, but the slick UI and seamless integration is sure to impress your users.

I highly recommend this app.
