Customer Reviews

Uber is like the Bitcoin trend, it will eventually be of little to no value.

I too, was sold on the idea of cost effective ride sharing. Until these past two years Uber has been in the news media almost daily, of a sexual assault, or involvement. Beyond that, I was an uber driver that got approved to drive in the Flagstaff market June 2016, while Lyft denied me. After 4700, trips and a high rating of 4.96(5 is the highest) I got waitlisted after Checkr decided to consider the charge that was there in my background when I first got approved. Having said that, my hopes of the future with uber, is out. As well, support, and praising their company. It is simply a get rich scheme they tried on us general population that’s costing them millions of dollars due to lawsuits, not really being covered by their ride share insurance while technically it’s illegal for us drivers to use our vehicles without our own commercial insurance. In addition, it’s illegal to use a personal vehicle for business use under a financial loan. If they find out, just like your insurance provider, you will not be covered and held responsible for violation. Please, general population, do not use uber because technically you’re not covered if something happens.

Delete the Current Location words on pick up column

Delete the Current Location words on pick up column and pop up attention that tell the rider to verify before summit a order. Most of riders haven't checked the location address which is correct or not and then they summit the order. Most of pick up address are wrong because the tall buildings and cloudy weather. The GPS location will dump to another side of the streets or coupe blocks. It is really terrible to drivers if riders make wrong pick up locations. Also, when riders call from inside of the building, GPS may be located to side of the street or behind the building's street, so when riders come out at front door but drivers are at another side of street. Always enter the pick up address is the way. The app fonts are too small. If using small screen phone, it is hard to see the words. License plate number is hard to see. Too small. Most riders don't know the number on right hand side meaning. It can be reference number, order number. They don't know that it is license plate number. They don't verify the license plate number and then open stranger vehicle door and asking "are you Uber" It is worst question for matching rider's driver.

Driver Committed A Crime Against Me

I went for my first Uber ride today, on Christmas Eve morning. I always treat people who work in service jobs well because I am acutely aware that they are often treated and paid unfairly. I had a nice ride with the driver, asked him about his holidays, etc. It was a 10 minute drive for $15 dollars and I tipped him $5. I also gave him 5 stars on the spot. (He said he was going to give me a good rating; I guess they rate their riders?) Well, this evening, I opened my email to a message that I damaged his car. Pictures were included of cigarette burns. Well, I do. Not. Smoke. EVER! Being anywhere near cigarettes triggers migraine headaches for me. And I certainly didn’t cause that. The car smelled like it had been smoked in every day of its life, to the point that it was giving me a headache. I suspect that he wants Uber to recompense him for his already-burned car. I am furious, to say the least. I tried to call Uber, but it’s funny how they are unavailable. It’s an unfair mark on my name and goodwill, and I can do nothing to fix it. I can’t even amend my review of this slimebag. All I know is that his name is Abilio and he is driving in the Danielson-Killingly-Putnam-Pomfret area of northeast CT. I deeply regret spending my hard earned money and humanity on this company.
