PRESS REVIEWS:

• Harvard Health Newsletter
"This app employs the phone's microphone to assess your breathing, then establishes a realistically reduced "Target Rate." You can choose an audio accompaniment and set the length of your relaxation session. You then breathe in and out in sync with an image that pulsates at a gradually slower pace."

• Time.com Techland
"If you find yourself becoming overagitated calm yourself with Breathing Zone, a handy iPhone app that'll help keep the typical stress of fomenting unrest somewhat in check."

• The Huffington Post
"The soothing visualizer function shows the in-out pattern of the breath with a colorful flower-like figure."

• Lifehacker
"If you're a bit stressed or anxious, it's a good way to help you alleviate those feelings in just a few minutes."

• Jessica Garrett Mills, PhD
Breathing Zone takes the guess work out of meditation. It’s completely devoid of any new-agey-ness that might rub some folks the wrong way. It’s basically just guided breathing.

Missouri Board of Registration For The Healing Arts

Thanks, I can use this when I think about the Missouri Medical Board permitting UMKC to lie the ACGME about months of Breast Cancer and they reprimanded me. If the state legislature saw what I saw and how the medical board responded, we would likely have a reformed medical board with new laws governing their actions. Neither the ACGME nor the Missouri Medical Board reviewed the UMKC Pathology Department and how they lied about months of breast cancer care to the ACGME. UMKC Pathology said that they often documented the ischemic time even though they never did. The Medical Board didn't reprimand UMKC for lying, they didn't lose their accreditation, they didn't lose their medical licenses, they weren't given a slap on the wrist. The Medical Board of Missouri enabled UMKC to lie to the ACGME and get away with lying about months of poor patient care. Now people think I am a liar like the pathology chair who lied under oath before the medical board's very eyes, similar to how she lied to the Georgia Medical Board. Thank you, I need this app.

Best breathing app out there

It has the one critical feature so many other apps miss -- the ability to manually change breathing rate midsession. Slowing down too much and you can't take a breath that deep? Just raise the rate a little. Getting really relaxed and want to go slower than the app is going? Just lower the rate.

This one extremely important feature allows you to adapt the app to YOUR breathing throughout the session, making it a truly relaxing experience instead of a struggle to keep up with the cues the way it is with so many other apps.

Best Meditation/Guided Breathing App

I suffer from anexity as well as hypertension. I've searched the App Store high and low for the best meditation and guided breathing apps and this is it. I like that it's not overly complicated and that you can successfully use the app in just minutes to relax and relieve stress. I remember the first time I used this program it made me feel so high and I started cracking up laughing I felt so good. I couldn't believe I had found something that relaxed me so well as I'm normally very tense.
