The New Yorker is a national weekly magazine that offers a signature mix of reporting and commentary on politics, foreign affairs, business, technology, popular culture, and the arts, along with humor, fiction, poetry, and cartoons. Founded in 1925, The New Yorker publishes the best writers of its time and has received more National Magazine Awards than any other magazine, for its groundbreaking reporting, authoritative analysis, and creative inspiration. The New Yorker takes readers beyond the weekly print magazine with the web, mobile, tablet, social media, and signature events. The New Yorker is at once a classic and at the leading edge.

Poor VoiceOver Support
I love the New Yorker's content, and was very excited to subscribe. I'm legally blind and rely on VoiceOver to have the iPhone read text to me. Unfortunately, VoiceOver doesn't work well in this app, sometimes switching pages and/or getting stuck on ads.
So I contacted support and was basically told the app doesn't support VoiceOver. What? I can understand a developer simply failing to make an app accessible. But from the tone of my exchange with support, it feels like the New Yorker is actively hostile to making its content accessible to blind and visually impaired readers. Not cool.
Hate this app
Every time the New Yorker updates their app the app gets worse. I’ve been reading the New Yorker for years and years and love the print magazine but absolutely hate this app for it. It simply does not work! About every 3 months I call their customer service and they say to just forget using the app and read it on my iMac! Can’t believe they haven’t figured it out after all this time. What a total frustration. Great content but absolutely frustratingly horrible app.
The worst! You have had a lot of time to get it together!!!
I have been a New Yorker subscriber for at least 20 years and the app has never worked properly. It is so frustrating. One has to sign in each time using the subscription number (if I had the hard copy in front of me I wouldn't need to use the app!!!). Really, unacceptable. I can't imagine how frustrating this would be if I were just a digital subscriber. Your readers deserve better.
