Coloursphere and Philips Hue – marriage made in heaven
Coloursphere 2.5 is a good upgrade to a solid app, mostly a better look and faster performance. I use it all the time to pick colors for web design work – can’t be beat, it’s so precise. I recently bought the Philips Hue wifi-controlled lighting system and was about to return it (the software for the Hue is really lacking). I was wishing it had the functionality of Coloursphere and then it hit me, why not pick colors and color harmonies with Coloursphere and import them into the Hue system? Voila! Perfection. The harmonies (really complimentary colors that the dev provides in Coloursphere) provided me with a great palette of color choices for my lighting whims. I’ve now got half a dozen hand-picked Coloursphere color schemes imported into the Hue, now the Hue has achieved its potential, awesome. Highly recommended app.
Who knew a color-picker could be fun?
Makes it easy to find any color you want, as well as which other colors would complement it best.
And the latest update makes full use of the iPhone 5's screen. Very nice.
