Stuck in a tree? Just try the “Rescue mode” directly from the piloting interface to try to unblock the AR.Drone 2.0 from the branches. Even if it is upside down, the propellers will spin so you have new possibilities to make an action while your AR.Drone is not reachable.

Over 100hr flight time

I have used this app on my iPad and iPhone, plus my galaxy s4 . The app has some improvements that could be made however it is always improving. I love my drone 2.0 I have over 100 hrs flight time. I have 4 batteries and love to bring it to local parks to fly. The app allows early drone flyers to really hone there skills before advancing and going full power and speed with the drone. Great for kids and adults of all ages. I used my drone for some great aerial photography, I am able to get angles and locations that you just can't get another way. The perspective you can get with just a little altitude. I have had my drove at just over 60 meters high using a range extender of coarse. I do wish that possible with the next version of the drone they have some kind of small external antenna, or even a connector for an optional antenna.

GPS and Saving Area Maps

(long story short I cannot zoom the map in close enough to avoid hitting houses or the shorter trees in my neighborhood)

I am a bit displeased that the map storing will not allow me to zoom into
street level. I live in a rural neighborhood and the houses are separated by
drive ways, (This is a for instance) I cannot see enough detail to plot a simple course to launch from the front of my garage and down my drive way as I am afraid of crashing into my house or a neighbors house. The current magnification of the map is 16X It should be able to get down a lot closer. Please FIX this.

I dislike the controls! Touch screens are just too unreliable. It just cuts out randomly and falls to the ground and the app doesn't block text message banners or app banners so they come up on your screen while your trying to fly. If it had a real radio and receiver then it would probably rock or even if it came with a Bluetooth controller. I flew it a lot when I first got it now I have bought a "real" hobby grade one flys smoother with smoother giros easier to use controls ( actual controller ) and etc. I still come back to this if came out for the Playstation Vita or something with real analog sticks!
