What's New in Version 2.1
- Support for Apple Watch
Just in time for your shiny new Apple Watch! Perform basic calculations, conversions, calculate tips, and split bills right from your wrist. The same features are coming to the iPhone today view soon.
- Force press to access operators in Calculator mode and conversions in Converter mode.
- Tap on the result to delete one number at a time.
- Customize which conversion options show up from Calcbot on your iPhone.
I cannot believe Calcbot supports the Apple Watch with this update but still does not have an iOS 8 Today widget. “Coming soon” has become this company’s M.O.
Tapbots needs to sort out its priorities.
(Also, guys, give us a new icon for Weightbot. It’s the least you could do.)
Division and subtraction signs look too similar
The font they use makes the division and subtraction signs look very similar, which is a fatal drawback for a calculator app. That should have been an easy fix, but months have passed since I emailed the support and two releases have been made since, but it is still not fixed.
1. When calculating percentage, it doesn't show you the intermediate result, just the final result. For example, when adding 20% to $50, I don't just want to know the total, which is 60, I also need to see that 20% of 50 is 10. Now try that with much more complex numbers. By the way, the native calc app doesn't have this disadvantage.
2. Fav items are of little to no use. For example, I want to be able to fav such expressions as "+20%"
Alas, you can't. Now if you could, calculating any saved percentage would be a breeze: 50, tap your fav item, and BOOM, you have the result.
Address these 2, and I'll definitely re-rate it 5 stars.
