What's New in Version 2.03
Important: Before upgrading, create a backup of your List! data. From the ‘Your Lists’ Screen, tap the Tools button in the bottom toolbar, then tap Mail, and then HTML (or Mail HTML on the iPad). Send the email to an account that you can access from your iOS device Mail app. At the top of the email is an import link that you can tap to import your data back into the List! app.
Thanks to everyone who’s supported List! by leaving a review, offering suggestions, or reporting issues/bugs.
When updates come out, it really helps if you take some time and update your rating/review in the App Store.
What’s new in 2.03:
Increased the target tap area around the check box.
Fixed bug where the countdown clock was not removed when an item was checked and the list cell setting for this option was enabled.
Completion date is displayed for list items with due dates when checked.
One step short of perfect
Time and again I get lured off to another list program by the promise of cloud synchronization, a feature I find myself wanting or needing more every day. Enough to buy another app, go through the pain of moving over hundreds of items, and the learning curve of getting used to another list program, which is particularly hard since I live in my list every day, all day.
But I keep finding myself back with List! for one reason or another. The biggest reasons are that List! never crashes on me, while other list programs which shall remain nameless not only crash but tend to lose all the changes I've made for a while before; and that other list programs always seem to be lacking some basic feature like copying/moving from list to list, or dragging items into order.
Sure, they also sometimes have nice things like additional or customized fields, line coloring, subtotals and totals, item icons, media support, etc. and I certainly would use those things if I had them. But I don't need them to get by. The cloud synchronization option is the only thing I need that List! doesn't have.
That lure will keep drawing me away, I'm sure. So I just hope that Secret Society gets that sync ability before any of the other list apps get reliability and a full suite of basic features. Here's hoping!
This app is a perfect example of "KISS"(Keep it simple/stupid!) - yet with many available additional functionality available --- if you choose to utilize them) Works perfectly without tons of "fluff" It's not geared towards a specific list (like MOST of the other list apps -- like grocery shopping) Allows you to create (any) list (with tons of icons, priority, etc. to label that list) and then create "items" under that list. (Think outline...)
The Email support is wonderful! (received responses to my questions within the same day!)
The popup tuturials are very helpful.
Only "issue" I had was understanding the "expand" function. But by playing a little and guidance by support was able to figure it out.
LOVE this (generic) List application - and WELL worth the nominal cost.
It has a great tutorial feature that walks you through using the tool. I started with the lite version and upgraded to the full version after about an hour.
It is one of the most customizable apps that I have used. I worked with all the settings until I got it set to the way that works best for me. I went back and forth on the touch task to edit or check, and finally settled on edit because I didn't want to accidentally complete something. I also like the options to set what triggers the badge number.
Keep up the great work!
