Connected for Health
By accessing your Apple Health data, Nike+ can give you even more detailed information about your run, including heart rate monitor support in-run when using a Bluetooth 4.0 enabled device like Wahoo’s Tickr products.
Please note that continued use of GPS running in the background could dramatically decrease battery life.

This update includes several bug fixes and app enhancements:
- We fixed an app crash that was occurring on launch for some runners on iPhone 6 and 6s
- We also fixed a few small bugs for runners who are listening to Spotify on their runs
Please fix the bugs!
Update: I'm removing another star because the pacing has gone downhill lately. This app used to be dead on when estimating how far/fast I ran. Now it's up to a minute/mile off. When I'm on the treadmill, it says I'm running 20-60 seconds slower per mile than I am. When I'm using GPS, it says I'm running 30-40 seconds faster. I recently ran a half marathon and the app consistently said I was running a 10:40 mile when it was actually somewhere around 11:20 per mile! I appreciate that I can calibrate the run but then I lose the ability to see mile splits.
This used to be my favorite running app and it's still the best in my opinion but it has so many bugs! The one that's been driving me the most crazy is the audio player. Half the time, the music doesn't start when the run starts so you have to restart the app. Occasionally the music does start but it's the wrong playlist. Then if someone calls you during the run, even if you don't answer, the music won't resume when you start running again. Finally, when the music does start, it's super low until the first audio feedback comes on, at which point it resumes normal volume and basically blows out your eardrums. This happens on both my old and new iPhone so it's not my phone, it's the app.
A final suggestion: allow users to set a warm-up time that doesn't count towards the average pace for the main run without having to log it separately.
Still the best running app, but the old version was better
This is still my favorite running app, by far. The old version of the app was still slightly better for me though. Nike fixed the issue with controlling music & the app from the headphone controls, which was my biggest pet peeve (this worked fine in older versions of the app, but was broken when the app went to version 4. The only remaining issue for me is that the app doesn’t handle music correctly if you are listening to another audio source before a run. I like to listen to audio books & podcasts in the car (I use the audible and downcast apps, not the official apple ones, maybe that’s part of the issue, I don’t know), but even though my music choice for the run is set to an iTunes playlist, it continues to play the audiobook/ podcast I was listening to in the car. The old versions (up to 3.x) handled this correctly, starting the iTunes playlist as soon as the run started. Not a complete deal killer, but it sure would be nice if they fixed that. Aside from that issue, it’s a great app. I’ve been using it since 2006 (when it only worked on the iPod nano, and it still works great for my needs.
I have been using this app for about 4 years and I generally love it! Great coach for training plans and fun to compete against friends. There are times when runs don't sync, but a quick tweet to Nike Support typically fixes that right away. Lately I have been wishing there were some other features: 1. Searching your historical runs in activities for locations. I travel quite a bit and have runs in random places. When I'm training for a half and have longer runs, I'd like to look up where I've run in the past to plan long runs for the week. Sure I can scroll down activities, but from the activities page all I can see is distance and time, can't determine location until I click into the activity. Too bad the "notes" aren't visible in the activities view. 2. When training with fartleks, the app should call out when it's time to speed up or slow down. I have to try and time myself during those and that's inconvenient. 3. I created a few routes on Nike+ website for the desktop, and LOVE that, however I can't access those created routes on my app, wish it would cross platforms so I could create/access on the app.
