I really like this app a lot. I like how it provides a scripture quote when you open your device on the prompt screen. That helps to fill my cup right away. I also like the diversity of the quotes. Some I have not heard before...I especially like the Gospel of Thomas quotes. Upon reading these new quotes...I sense the wisdom of Christ. So it's been a great app for me. I'd also recommend invest the $0.99 to get rid of the ads...it's worth it. :)
It's nice to wake up to Jesus!
I love the app, but rather not have the Gnostic Gospels quoted to me as often as they are quoted. Otherwise, I love waking up to Jesus Texts. The only other suggestion I have is that if you could possibly have a voice actor narrate a few of the key scripture texts. That would make the app much more personal and interactive I think.
Why quote the spurious?
I used to enjoy this site but of late there has been such a preponderance of extrabiblical and pseudepigraphical texts that claim to be Jesus texts that every day I am tempted to jettison the app into the outer darkness! Why quote the gnostic gospels when one should cite a legitimate gospel? Why??? Also, the description of this app states quite clearly that texts come from the New Testament; gnostic gospels and other writings like the Sophia are not included in the 27 books, or were you unaware?
