Best City Management Game on iPad

It is far from perfect, but of the bunches of city management apps I've tried, this is the best. Others (I've seen) are just too simplistic. What I've not been able to discover is how to build a bridge to span a river. This is a real problem if a river cuts through the middle of your map.

Cities tend to always have demand for industry and without a casino, which is offered after many years (if you allow gambling ordinance I think), I've always have trouble achieving a stable economy. Also, cities always seem to have high demand for industry and low, if any demand, for commercial. This is even when I put lots of green ordinances into place. If not careful, you can end up with an industrial mess on your hands. ; )

Btw, reading some of the gripes posted, water pumps only work at fresh water sources. The river may not count. I have always found lakes to be the best consistent source for water. And just because city advisors complain about water, this usually first happens as a heads up that you are nearing capacity. You don't have to add water sources until the no-water icons start popping up on map.

Also be careful with your choices because the game has limited "save" ability. It appears impossible to regress in most of my experience to than anything other than the beginning of a particular game. Ps, I am a desktop veteran for this game, but not an expert. : )

Crash-fest: Don't waste your time.

I've been a huge Simcity fan since the very early days in the late 90s. Finally getting a version for my iPad was great news. Too bad EA have not followed through and made the game stable enough to play for more than a few minutes at a time without crashing. I already have around 4 or 5 reliable ways to crash the game already and I have played the game no more than about 45 mins total, probably not more than 10 mins max without it crashing. Its especially unpromising when one reliable way to crash the app and loose your gameplay is trying to save your work. I would demand my money back if I thought for a moment I would not have to expend hours trying to get it back.
Folks, there is reason a complex game like this is only 99 cents at present, its because its a soul destroying pile of crashing junk. EA likely knows it and wants to avoid the backlash that charging $9.99 would bring. EA are late to the mobile games party, bringing crap like this to the party only makes the situation worse because I won't waste time looking at other EA titles, and neither should you. You maybe a fan of Simcity on the PC or Mac, but this will leave you irritated and frustrated. Do yourseves a favor and run from this one, don't walk,Tic-tac-toe or the iPad Lockscreen would be a more satisfying game experience than this. I want to give it zero stars for a rating but Apple are forcing me to be excessively generous and give it one star.

sim city is O.K.

this is an average game but the best city management game ever! I was struggling at first, but I got the hang of it by day 2. I suggest for starter to play the starter tour and on easy until you get the hang of it. Average cost but worth it all!

Here are some tips 2 get you started,

1 if the game does crash often, (like some1 else said) you should go on to airplane mode and then try it.

2 i heard in another review that that person asked how to span bridges across the river of the map, well you CANT! you have to make another city on the other side of the river and then add airports/seaports on each side of the river to allow travel and trading.

3 when your sims demand more zones, you should use every single square possible and not waste any land.

4 when pollution gets bad, you should take every step to stop it, even if it costs a lot.

5 sims don't demand a lot of commercial zone, so you should use the space for other things. I once went for 10 days without any commercial zone.

6 once your city get bigger, sims will allow more ways to get different things, so be patent.

7 there is no #7.
