While waxing nostalgic about my old digital watch, I remembered how much I loved having the passage of time marked by an hourly chime. But then I thought, why should all the chimes be the same? For your pleasure, a simple app that provides unique chimes on the hour, half hour, or quarter hour.
You can choose:
• How often to chime
• Start and stop times
• Weekdays / any day
As well as select from a number of distinct tones:
• Speech - a human voice announcing the time.
• Simple beep - for the minimalist.
• Musical chords - for those with perfect pitch. Can you determine the sequence?
• Roman numotones - equivalent to roman numerals in audio form. High pitched tones for I, deeper for V, deeper still for X

Fixes for iOS 5
Simply put: amazing!
I can't say anything but good things about this app. I have installed it both on my IPad 4th gen, as well as on my IPhone 5, and very soon later tonight, I'll also be putting it on my IPad Mini. this app is awesome! there is no other way to put it. I love the fact that I don't have to continuously look at the clock on my device just to keep track of the time. I have mine set on the female voice so that I not only get an audible alert, but I further, know exactly what time it is as the female voice tells me in realtime. this is an absolute must have for anyone! I even more love the fact that I can set it to only alert me between a range of hours. the only thing I don't see support for that I wish it would do is read the chimes in 24 hour time, and not just 12 hour time. Oh well though. Guess you can't have everything in this world, huh. LOL!
Having always been a clock fan, I Love Chime! I didn't expect how much I would appreciate the quick chord chimes as a fast an unobtrusive way to hear the time. It's nice that it keeps working even when the app is closed, even after a phone restart! And it doesn't interfear with other app sounds. VoicOover users can use the settings with no problem either. Since other chimes suggestions were solicited, perhaps a small short Wesminster chime sequence, like a small chime watch might make would be nice. A big order, but one I would enjoy would be to be able to load my own sounds in via itunes file sharing, but that might be asking a bit much. Nice job! I like it!
Simple & perfect
After starting a new gig where I really needed to be aware of the passage of time and bemoaning that my watch didn't come equipped with an hourly chime, it finally occurred to me to look for an app. To find one so perfectly simple to interface and for free, I feel extremely grateful for such a small thing (now I can delay searching for a new watch solely to have a chime).
I use the voices; I wouldn't mind them being a little louder but really, under normal circumstances I can hear it from my pants pocket without it disrupting the room.
