-NOTES
1. You need two devices. For example: iPhone and iPad; iPhone and iPhone; or, a digital camera and an iOS device used as a light table. (Only the iPhone with the app can convert the negatives, however.)
2. When taking photos of film on the iPad or iPhone, you can get a screen effect from the LCD. If you do not like this, we recommend using mylar or tracing paper under your film.

Awesome Awesome and Awesome

First off, reality check people this is running on a phone for 1.99 and if you expect this to work like professional hardware you're far from professional or realistic. Now down to the facts, holy cow this does an awesome yes awesome job for the portability and minimal investment. Yes you need two devices running the app but guess what I have two devices. And i have to believe you could use a real light table with some practice to achieve some decent results. The designers and programmers did a great job pushing the hardware and software beautifully. Again this is being done on a couple handheld devices for buck 99 give them a break, they did a great job. I scanned multiple color slides and a range of old color negatives which it converted perfectly to color.

This app works and rocks!!!

I bought this app for the iPad and the iPhone in 5 minutes I had 5 photos from negatives, it does what it says it does - don't expect high definition pics but that are as good as they are dependent on the quality of your negatives and the steadiness of your hands - I had acceptable results right away and as I experimented with the settings it just got better and my negatives were not in the best shape - I give this app 5 stars for ingenuity , originality and IT WORKS!!! I would've like to have some integrated filters for color correction maybe black and white and sepia but if you have another app like photo wizard you can further retouch your color correct exposure saturation add text a few filters etc. I do recommend this app

iPhone Required

It is stated in the description, but not blatantly, that you need to use an iPhone to capture the photos for the app to convert them.

Since it is a universal app, you don't need to buy it twice, once will do for both iPad and iPhone.

Hopefully the devs will enable the iPad app to take photographs as well as being just the lightbox. Many of us don't have iPhones but are part of institutions (like schools) that do have access to multiple iPads (which can take photos, ok devs?).

Three stars only because the app doesn't allow you to take photos when it senses it is running on an ipad (lightbox mode is all you get in that case 😥).
