Doesn't replace classroom teaching lessons
Had to review this application for my secondary math methods class as a future middle school math teacher. I found that this application provides great explanations and videos to help review the concept of Order of Operations. However, the practice problems are very limited for the student. In fact once a student has cycled through the problems, the same problems come up if the student wants to review further. Also, the review is in multiple-choice form, which means that a student who doesn't know what they are doing can just haphazardly click on answers until they get the correct one. If a student truly doesn't know the answer to a problem, the program doesn't provide an explanation as to why they got it wrong. Despite these downfalls, the student feedback that can be sent to the teacher is very thorough, but that information may not be useful.
This is such a great app!!(: It helps me remember by all the funny stuff she does:) I'm defiantly buying the full version!!
The best way I have ever seen algebra explained. Explained so good that even a fifth grader could understand.
