Gorilla Workout contains 4 levels that provide different workouts depending on your current fitness level. Level 1 is for those of you who are just getting into the fitness game and will have you starting with exercises like wall push ups, air squats, and lunges. Level 4 is for the extremely athletic type, where you'll be performing intense exercises like burpees, pistols, and one arm push ups.

Every exercise comes with a detailed text description on the muscle group worked, how to perform each movement of the exercise, and even contains a video of a real person performing the exercise so you can always ensure your form is right.

What's New in Version 5.1.14

We’re going back to basics with this routine. No confusion, no extra movements, simply squats, push ups, planks, and eventually pull ups with movements for the core. The fundamental challenge is exactly what it sounds like - these tried and true exercises, progressively increased every time you see them. This program can be supplemented with other workouts you may be doing, or give this 100% and pair it with solid nutrition.

So far, so good

I like that the workouts are not overwhelming. Especially, in the beginning. This made easier to start and make it part of my morning routine (although it could be done anytime of the day). I don't thnk that I have spent more than 20 min on a workout. In fact, it was probably more like 15. Some take a little less time. The first workout surprisingly made me sore, but my wife reminded me to be sure and stretch before and after the workout. This made a big difference for me the next time that I worked that muscle group. I've enjoyed the workouts so far. Be sure to stretch (this goes for any workout, especially if you are just starting one). Great workout for people that don't have much time to commit to something intensive.

I had actually lost weight with this workout when I was consistent with it. It has been a few years since I have exercised with the app. I started from the beginning and it has been easy to get back into. Still one of my favorite workout regimens.

My travel app

I travel a fair amount. When no gym was available I used the New York Times 9 minute workout. But it is the same workout every time. This app gives me different exercises and sequences. Most I can do in a hotel room, with the exception of the chin up. I like that it builds and is challenging. Early on I missed the number of repetitions of sequences, so I only did one sequence. Which seemed too easy. This morning was 6 repetitions of 2 exercises repeated 15 times each. I worked up a sweat!

Really works

I've been using the app for two weeks and can really feel the results from it. The exercises don't take very long and the videos are always helpful if you are unsure if you are executing them with proper form. As with any exercise it's all about sticking with it and using it consistently, but they make it fun and I wake up wanting to do better everyday
