Customer Reviews

I honestly don't understand the negative reviews!

I downloaded this about a week ago. Then, I paid $4.99 to have access for an entire year to all the 48 Hours episodes from 2005 until now. To use it, we just open the app up on our iPad, mirror it up through the Apple TV to our television, and watch the episodes of our choosing on our tv. (Or we just watch them right on our iPad). Easy, simple. We've already watched several episodes of 48 Hours with this app and have had absolutely no problems. We were even able to watch the most recent 48 Hours episode with this app before the episode even broadcast on tv. And, the picture was a clear as a bell. Honestly, I do not understand the negative reviews because as I said, we have already watched several episodes through this app and have had absolutely no trouble with it. If you are a 48 Hours fan as we are, I highly recommend that you give it a try. I truly don't think you'll be disappointed.

Waste of time

I love 48 hours, but I was immediately unhappy with the app. All I wanted to do was just watch this week's episode. Unless I misunderstood, the currently week's show should be available for free.

However, when I tap the play button for this week's show, the app closes. If I am not allowed to view the show the shouldn't a notice appear? I was able to watch the show on my laptop, but not on my tablet, which is disappointing.

I don't understand why CBS allows you to watch past episodes on a pc or laptop, but you can't watch them in the app. I am not sure if anyone from CBS reads these reviews, but if you do, please fix the issues mentioned in the reviews and make the app as good as the show.

Could be better

I was excited about this app and have watched several episodes with no issues. I don't like that it only allows you to watch 2 episodes at a time on the free version. Sometimes the episodes wouldn't appear until they were already greyed out. I thought it would be worth it to pay so I could see more episodes. The fee for a year is reasonable I think. I wasn't impressed when January 1st rolled around and my sub was gone less than a month after I paid. I guess it's my fault for assuming when they said you pay for a year it doesn't mean 12 months but only the current calendar year.
