We now introduce iDivers’ Diary, the new App for iPhone which allows you to recreate the logbook from the Mac or PC onto your portable device.
The only requirement is, in addition to a Mac having Mares DiversDiary (available on the Mares web site) installed, a wi-fi connection for the transfer between devices.
For PC users, iDiversDiary works with Dive Organizer (V2.15 and up).
iDivers’ Diary however is not merely a passive receiver of information form the Mac or PC. You can take advantage of the iPhone’s camera to take a picture of your dive buddy and of the iPhone’s GPS to pinpoint the location of your dive site.
Add buddy and dive spot location to include names and all kinds of other information, then the next time you sync the iPhone with the Mac (or PC), this information will be transferred to Divers’ Diary or Dive Organizer Software. You can now use this information to assign buddy and dive spot information to a specific dive, and the next time you sync the devices, your iPhone log will be updated as well.
Other features of iDivers’ Diary:
- list your dive information including tank details, dive spot, buddies and equipment;
- view your dive profile for depth, temperature, gas consumption and ascent speed in a graphic profile.
- show all your dive spots on a world map in landscape view
- works with all iPhones, iPod Touch and iPad (upscaled only)
Hotfix because of crash by the new iOS V8.3

Decent app but with Quirks
I have been toying with the app for a while trying to sync my info from the Dive Diary app with my phone and uploading personal information to my ICON HD. For the most part it does that well, however, there are some little bugs that are setting off my OCD. For example, I can add equipment on the mobile app but there is no option to remove it, so I have some blank slots for gear I would like to remove but cant. I tried removing it on my computer and resyncing to no avail. It also took a while for my phone to finally sync correctly with the app but once it did, it seemed to do so just fine. Probably in need of an update. Not a bad app but not great either.
Hello phosphericacid, you can edit and delete equipment in DiversDiary on the Mac and sync it back to iDiversDiary on the iPhone. Otherwise could you please send us an email from iDiversDiary -> info icon to solve your problem.
Works well for me.
It works pretty well for me. I have a Mares Quad and all I have to do is connect the dive computer to my PC and transfer the data to the PC. Then I open the app and click on the sync button in the PC log and it automatically transfers the dives for me. The only thing I wish it had was the ability to transfer from the dive computer to the app via Bluetooth. Then it would be a solid 5 star.
Hello Baismom, thanks for your great feedback. We'll provide transfer of dive computer data via bluetooth in an upcoming version.
Does not work
Dumbest app ever written. You would think it would sync with your online account, but it does not.
it expects you to sync with your computer running Dive Organizer... but even that doesn't work ... just sits on the main screen saying "put your phone and computer on the same wifi network to sync".
you do that while the Dive Organizer is running and it doesn't do anything.... and Dive Organizer doesn't see it either...
Maybe it works with MAC but does not work with a PC.
More importantly, this app should be free... i pay $350 for a dive watch and then you want to charge me $10 for an app to use with it??!!
HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED- the software/apps from Mares looks and acts like something from 1998
Hello Davehudsn, to help solving your problem of synchronization between Dive Organizer and iDiversDiary could you please send us an email from iDiversDiary -> info icon
