Great game, but timers
First off, the actual gameplay so far is absolutely amazing. By far the best monster capture gameplay for the iOS right now. I don't even mind the system for gaining new monsters either. It works.
By biggest problem with the game is it's incessant dependence on timers, on literally everything you do. Meaning there's sometimes no option to do anything but sit and wait. There needs to be something to do while waiting for timers, because I could sit and actually play this all day long if it allowed me. Remove the need to constantly have to spend currency to heal, or wait for another timer. Healing is such a basic thing, there shouldn't be a timer also latched onto that.
The game is great, amazing gameplay, best I've seen on the AppStore. I'd venture to say that it has potential to be as strategic as Pokemon. But it's unfortunate that it's all bolted down in timers and micro transactions. LET ME PLAY!!
Good, but used to be better
Hey guys. Bit of a veteran player here.
The animation and battle gameplay are both still top notch, but I still really miss how it used to be in its super early stages. It was too cool to wander the different worlds with my party and to have to semi-random encounters, instead of the advancing stages and timers you guys have now. It felt more like an adventure, instead of just grinding in the hopes of finding something cool. I miss how the Minos used to level up and learn attacks/perks based on use, instead of buying everything with coins, and the old capture system with the candies. Everything is so transactional now, it's kind of taken the fun out of it, which is a shame. I really like the designs of so many of the newer monsters, but it's basically too much of a pain to save up enough to make them useful in battle.
Still a neat game, but not nearly as great as it used to be.
BRING POKEMON BACK!
I love Pokemon, but it seems it has died out. Pokemon nowadays is so high tech and weird. Don't you guys remember the good old days? When we would trade Pokemon cards, trade Pokemon in our old Red and Yellow and Crystal and Silver games? When we would hook them up to our Nintendo 64? Guys... I know there are more of you like me out there, so if you are reading this, spread the word, and help get Pokemon back to the way it was before. Help get people back into trading their old cards, back into playing the old GBC and N64 games. Don't be afraid to stand up. I know you're out there and I know we can do it. Spread the word! Let's get people back into the Pokemon it was before! The Pokemon that we enjoyed! Come on guys! LETS BRING POKEMON BACK!
