Fun, but flawed
Not sure exactly how much I like this app, it's definitely fun to listen to all my old albums on it, but my biggest problem is that the albums are so constricting. The splits on the records are awkward. I tried listening to Pink Floyd, but the automatic album splits cut out how it's really supposed to sound when played together. It definitely needs to be cut in the correct places, rather then at a certain number of tracks. In addition, the sound really doesn't sound that much radically different. Maybe it's because the iPad eliminates static, but it's missing real vinyl sound.
Even so, the app is just a fun way of listening to music, you can play with the needle and make cool mix tapes. It'd be fun if the records could be played backwards, so we could here the truth of Revolution 9.
Great app, 1 Suggestion
This app definitely enhances audio and gives you an old-time feel, and the record animations are great, but I do have one suggestion. Why don't you create a mode where you can:
1) Have this exact app, just the way it is right now.
2) When you play your "record" it actually sounds grainy and scratchy, and of course make it skip every now and then, and add speed settings (33.5, 45, 78). That would really make it realistic!
Please developers... Really consider this. If you're going to go with the record theme, at least make it realistic! Thanks for reading!
What an amazing app. My dad always told me that if you listen to vinyl compared to a cd or tape it sounds amazing, and it does.... And so does this. Whatever they did to enhance the sound quality of songs when using this app is beautiful. I can literally hear things that I couldn't make out before I used this app. The bass is really great and treble is perfect. Overall one of the best apps for a music lover who loves great sound quality. Great great great app! I give it 1,000,000 stars... Oh wait I can't do that?!?! Oh well i guess i will just give it 5. :/
