First popularized in the mid-1970s, the paleo diet has been promoted by a huge number of authors and researchers in books and academic journals as a method of healthy eating.
The paleo diet, also popularly referred to as the caveman diet, Stone Age diet and hunter-gatherer diet, is a nutritional plan based on eating wild plants and animals.
Paleolithic nutrition is based on the premise that modern humans are genetically adapted to the diet of their Paleolithic ancestors and that human genetics have scarcely changed since the dawn of agriculture. Therefore, an ideal diet for human health is one that resembles this ancestral diet. Research has shown that modern human populations following paleo like diets are largely free of diseases of affluence, such as diabetes and heart disease.
The "modern" Paleolithic diet consists mainly of healthy proteins, including: fish, grass-fed pasture raised meats, vegetables, fruit, roots, and nuts.

This app is great! I have been eating grain free for several months but still have learned from the basic information presented here. The app is beautifully organized and super easy to navigate, but the recipes are the reason for the 5 stars! I have loaded up a favorites list and can't wait to try them all!
Great Recipes , simple and delicious
Here is diet that makes since, I am a type II diabetic and most of the recipes here are really helpful in controlling your blood sugar and the fact they taste so good is a real bonus. It is a no brainer and well worth the in-app upgrade.
Great recipes - wish I could save &make a recipe book
Great recipes easy to use good info! Just wish I could store all my favorite recipes in or place and build a grocery list based on selected recipes for the week.
