Misleading Push Notifications
This company was great for the first two or three weeks of use. Now I keep getting push notifications telling me I can get $5 shared rides, but haven't seen the option for a shared ride since early February (San Diego). I'm a heavy user of ride-share apps - LYFT, Uber, and Sidecar for a while. Uber has been consistently cheaper than the minimum ride prices quoted on Sidecar. I think the company needs to manage customer expectations better. The ad notifications gives the impression of being lied to.
Best ride sharing company
This is my preferred car share company. No weird pink mustaches, no iffy former cab drivers. The drivers are friendly. The cars are their clean personal vehicles. I found the prices are the lowest. No surge pricing -ever. My usual wait is 12 minutes in the Sunset in San Francisco. The app works well.
Terrible customer service
I've emailed the company over 3 times after a billing issue my first time using sidecar. Almost a month passed and no response. I've never had issues with getting in touch with customer support from uber and Lyft. If I had a billing issue I expect a more timely response or at least for the company to awknowledge a mistake was made. Would never recommend. Go with uber, who at least emails you when you have a problem.
