Open in Safari in background? Landscape mode?
While this is the app I use most regularly to find interesting reading, it could use a couple of improvements. (1) Why is there no landscape mode? Some articles are just about unreadable in portrait orientation: if Prismatic would just support landscape orientation, it would go a long way towards making such articles readable. (2) It would be a lot more convenient if one could open an article not just in Safari, but IN THE BACKGROUND in Safari for later reading, and continue to browse within Prismatic.
Glad I found this!
Bummed about losing my Zite (I even loved their color scheme) and tried to replace it with Flipboard (ick), but thankfully found Prismatic which is a great alternative and even has its own pluses. It's easier to choose topics, follow specific places and decide if you like or don't like what you are being shown. I keep my AP News app for deep news and my Prismatic for everything else but I could easily use just prismatic if I wanted to set it up that way. Very pleased with the ease and versatility!
Nice app that crashes way too often
Update!!!! Links do not open on iPhone 6s using iOS 9. Not surprising since the app hasn't been updated since January 2015. Myself being a Pulse app user, Prismatic is a welcome complementary app. While I do like the wide array of news ( this app is identical to Flipboard), it crashes way too often for my likes, the images do not always properly render and display on iPad mini ios 8, and after a random crash that happens all too often, good luck navigating back to the article you were reading prior to the app crashing. Good idea but still clunky and unpolished
