What's New in Version 1.2
* Edit Highlights - our OCR is top notch, but even 99.5% misses a character now and then. Now you can manually correct any transcription errors.
* Evernote, Email, Dropbox export improvements
I still love reading actual books but I miss the convenience of highlighting in eBooks - enter this fantastic app! I've used it for awhile but the recent update brought huge improvements. The text recognition seems 99% accurate now, and when something does render incorrectly (like a footnote) I can easily edit it. I also really like the structure of the app - being able to save collections of highlights by book and page number, then export to Evernote when I'm done. Which, by the way, is how I found this app - the Evernote 'Trunk'. They work great together. Anyway, thanks a bunch!
Hardly any hiccups!
This is a really great app! I'm currently in grad school so this app is definitely helpful to me. It not only lets me get transcripts of excerpts (via my camera) quickly but it also gives me the citation in the format I need (APA)! I want to give it 5 stars but occasionally the transcription process fails and instead of saving the photo I already took and letting me try again, I have to take a new picture. That means that I can't take a bunch of photos quickly and transcribe them later. I have to transcribe each photo individually and that takes up more time. Not so convenient there. Other than that, I'm a big fan!
A Little Trick But Worth It
I've been using this to takes quotations and notes for my thesis work and it's been great! It's a little hard to get used to, since it has some quirks. You have to make sure the page is flat when you go to capture the picture or else the words will all jumble. And when you're choosing what to highlight, make sure you go a little below what you want, or else it will cut off wrong. Once I figured out the best way to use it, it's been very accurate with translation to text. Highly recommend.
