BEST game of this kind that I have played
I will miss this game when it's over. I am playing it on the hardest level to make it last as long as I can.
Unusually engaging story, good gameplay and really fun puzzles and mini-games. Love that nothing is timed and that you can skip a puzzle if you get too frustrated and want to just continue the story. Also love that you pursue more than one story objective at a time: It is a linear game with enough flexibility in play order to feel self-directed.
The story elements are pretty concealed and your character is smart enough that you don't figure things out ages before she finally clues in. I do wish her voice actor could play like she embodied the character. See, she sounds like she is reading me a bedtime story that has dialogue, not like she really IS the woman in the game, in real time.
Really good quality. Give me more games like this!
Engaging And Atmospheric
I really like hidden object games and play them frequently, and this is one of the better ones, I think. The pacing is good and the balance of mini-game puzzles with hidden object hunts works well. It is also nice that this game does provide an alternative to playing hidden object hunts (in the form of Dominos), should you want a change of pace.
Admittedly, the story is not my favorite, and feels somehow like there were a few planned character arcs with the supporting characters that got cut. However, the use of an underwater setting and a failed Utopian refuge was wonderfully effective. The settings are sometimes creepy (in a fun way) and always attractive.
I think this might be the best paced hidden objects game I have played. I found it very engrossing and kept wanting to play just a bit more each time I told myself I should set it aside.
I liked this game. I liked that you have to find things inside the hidden objects section to find other things there. It really makes you stop and think on some of them. I especially liked that the people talked from beginning to end. I find that to be more interactive than making a person read almost all the way through the game. Where you did have the gamer read you let them decide how fast or slow to read before moving on. The map was nice to so if you got stuck you had an idea of where to go next with the hint of at this place now you can do something. I also liked that there were a few places that made me jump!
