Tesla's Electric Mist is a point and click puzzle adventure game revolving around the mysterious Nikola Tesla, a time traveling device he invented, and a big experiment gone wrong for the citizens of Colorado Springs in the late 1800's.
In the game, you are the hero. Your family has a history with the great Nikola Tesla, inventor of the radio, alternating current, and patent holder of hundreds of electrical inventions. Your great-great-grandfather worked for Tesla in Colorado Springs around the turn of the century. A family secret has been passed down over the generations since then, that some day Tesla would need your family’s help once more. What this means, no one in your family really knows. But the time has come, and you will be the one to answer the call.
Using a time traveling device invented by Tesla, you will travel back in time to Colorado Springs. And only you will have it in your power to save the people of Colorado Springs, and in fact, Tesla himself, from an experiment gone terribly wrong.
The game has been designed to be easy to pick up and understand instantly, but yet difficult enough to be challenging.

It's a DELIGHTFUL game...
These story/puzzle games are my favorites. How delightful to find one that had interesting puzzles and no HO puzzles. It scored ***** on all but one point...
GRAPHICS: Different, but absorbing. I liked the larger, cleaner look...
PUZZLES: Captivating yet doable. Didn't need to use the available "hints".
CHAPTERS: THREE! After the first, you're glad there's a second. And after the second, you're delighted there's a third. It was JUST enough...
MUSIC: Delightful and light. Perfect mood...
MAP: Not really useful 'till the third chapter, when it was ESSENTIAL. (And this might be where it dropped a star.)
In all the other chapters, you didn't need to keep notes, because notes were kept automatically for you. Really great! Only, when you're trying to do the yellow, green, blue, orange, purple, red thing, and find yourself shuttling back and forth between switches (three) and puzzle boxes (six), you get dizzy, forgetting where was what and having to write things down. You just want to get out of there by then, wishing the whole thing was over which was sad... However, once you make a map/guide for all the colors, they it takes you only moments to glide thru the whole thing...
All-in-all, a simply WONDERFUL game. Thank you very much for the pleasure. I look forward to the next one.
I think this is the first game with an end that I've finished on my iPod, because I didn't get bored with it first. Love this genre. Hints were useful as reminders where things were, and nicely integrated. Decent graphics. Stepping back there is some sense of silly to having to go around back and forth for all the locks, was the only unreal element considering you're poking around a house. But that's minor and it all makes sense for gameplay. Well done.
Tesla's Mist is enjoyable.
I needed a little help on a couple of the puzzles but mostly it was a lot of back and forth getting all the pieces in order. There are a variety of challenges to the puzzles although finding parts and using them are mostly simple. I will see how a ten year old does with it, he may need a bit of help. Thanks to App-Unwrapper for the walk though when I could not find a piece a couple of times.
