What's New in Version 5.2.1

Thank you to all of our amazing customers for the incredible feedback on our 5.2 release. We would have had this update out sooner, but as it turns out all the cold weather here in the Northeast froze our Internet pipes almost solid. Who knew?

- We fixed an issue where the same one-time password could be generated for different logins.
- We’ve restored the ability to select and copy individual words in a secure note. Thank you for all the vocal feedback on this one! Keep an eye out for a few more notes-related fixes in this update as well.
- Creating a new login no longer requires you to enter a website before it allows you to save. (This one drove some of us crazy, too).
- We also found and fixed a problem where, when syncing with Dropbox, 1Password would create unnecessary sync conflicts. If you are using 1Password for Windows make sure you update to version 4.2 there as well since these two versions don’t like to be kept apart.
- We believe we fixed an extremely rare bug where, if you clicked the home button right after launching 1Password, and the Touch ID prompt appeared over the springboard, and you authenticated against that Touch ID prompt, that 1Password could open up in an unlocked state.
- We fixed an issue where top sites with valid URL names would cause logins to be created with incorrect URLs.
- The item detail view is no longer tucked up under the navigation bar in the 1Password Extension.
- We knocked down a couple of crashers that were lurking here and there.

1Password never prompts you for a review. We value your workflow too much to interrupt it. If you feel generous and have a couple of minutes, please leave a review. The warmth it would generate in our hearts is exactly what we need to get through these last few weeks of winter. Thank you in advance!

We love hearing from you! Come participate on our forums at, get in touch via @1Password on Twitter, and!

The Designification & Experiencity Edition

Tons of iOS apps are adding the convenience and security of 1Password to their logins. View the list of awesome apps here:

All-new Login Creator
◆ Adding Logins is easier than ever with a new, streamlined workflow for hundreds of popular sites and services.

Pro Features Get Pro-er
◆ One-Time Passwords! Our new tool helps you sign into many services that require a secondary, randomized password (like Amazon and Tumblr). Less fumbling with different apps, more time doing what you need.
◆ Attachments can now be deleted from the item editor.
◆ You can now add many new custom field types like: addresses, dates, and month/year.

◆ You know how days of the week can sometimes blend together? Well, our item details don't do that anymore. The new layout features Zen-ified White Space™ and Enhanced Readamability® so you can find what you need even faster.
◆ Such new password editor design, much pretty, very password. Wow.
◆ We tried adding a flux capacitor to the item editor, but you'll have to settle for a regular ol' date picker instead.
◆ Rich icons are even prettier, and 1Password updates them if you change an item’s URL.
◆ The Master Password field now resizes for the occasion, depending on your device screen size.
◆ We now show a notification when saving a Login.

◆ Change your Master Password on Mac, it changes on your iOS device. #TheFuture
◆ Backups synchronized from iTunes for Windows can now be restored, even if they’re not in the Backups folder.

◆ The 1Password Extension for third-party apps will now lock automatically after the security timeout you have set in 1Password.
◆ New user? Starting fresh? Screens for empty vaults are now at least 20% cooler, and even more helpful!
◆ Accessibility audit: Our new item detail view and editor should work much better for our customers with impaired vision.

Must have - Can't live without!

I frequently tell people that if I could have only 1 app on my phone, it would be OnePass. This is the most significant and important app as can be. I've used it for close to two years now and don't know what I would do without it. I'm no longer reluctant to create accounts for things I only rarely look at (because o don't have to worry about remembering login credentials and passwords); I never have to try to remember what I used for security questions and answers (because I record all of that into OnePass). Most significantly, I feel safe and protected. I have a unique password for every single account I have (close to 200 and counting), and my passwords are long and complex. In summer 2014 when eBay passwords were compromised, I didn't worry. My eBay password was unique to eBay so I new my other accounts were safe. I simply changed my eBay password and went in with my day. OnePass makes this all possible. Do yourself a favor and download this app right away. I've recommended it in person to countless friends and they use and love it. You'll never go back to not having it.

Please READ BEFORE you buy this app!!

This is a great app, but please be weary!! I really regret buying it and am finished throwing money on previous money hoping to come out ahead. There is NO way to contact this company! If you have a problem, the their controlled forums direct you to the App Store. The App Store tells you that they can’t do what the AgileBits site says and to contact the developer. There convenient controversy is at the expense of the consumer. After over $100 in purchases and upgrades, I’m being asked to pay the discounted price of $34 to upgrade ONE device. I think they must have bought their ratings, because this app is not one bit better than my previous free one and is a total money pit!! I thought by the price, I would get a better product. Instead, I have had many hours of frustration with no options for resolving them. I plan to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I never write ratings, but I am hoping that maybe I can save at least one person the money, time, and disappointment I have had from this app,

Essential App

If you aren't using this app, you're doing it wrong. 1Password is a very polished app with a ton of functionality to keep your digital life secure. I recommend it to all of my friends and family who use the same password for everything.

This is definitely an app that you'll want to utilize BEFORE you have a problem. I have been fortunate to avoid any password related security issues, and I credit 1Password as a large part of why. Get this app! Is also syncs well to Mac and Windows. The browser extension makes web browsing with different passwords a breeze. Also check out Agile Bit's blog... They frequently post helpful tips and strategies to get the most out of the app.

Thanks for all of your hard work, Agile team!
