The fast, fun mobile inbox that puts email in its place.

Note: Currently for Gmail and iCloud accounts. Other email platforms are on the way!

Mailbox is a completely redesigned inbox that makes email light, fast, and mobile-friendly. Quickly swipe messages to your archive or trash. Scan an entire conversation at once with chat-like organization. Snooze emails until later with the tap of a button — they’ll return to your inbox automatically so you can focus on what's important now.

Mailbox checks your email from the cloud and delivers it to your phone securely. Now with Auto-swipe, Mailbox learns from your swipes and snoozes to automate common actions. Mute that conversation you don’t care about, snooze messages from your friend to this evening, or route all of your receipts to a list — automatically.

Mailbox’s delightful UI and smart features make getting to zero — and staying there — a breeze. After you experience a clean inbox, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.

“Already the app I use most often.”

“The best email management app you'll ever use.”

Mailbox for Mac OS10 Yosemite & IOS 8

My new, favorite Mail app for both my iMac operating on Yosemite and my iPhone 6 Plus and iPad running iOS 8.3. A MacUser and loyalist since 1982 I was having serious problems with Apple Mail. All are working together harmoniously via the iCloud. Thanks to Mailbox!
I knew little or nothing about 3rd party mail client apps. First tried to set up Airmail 2.0 and Inky… To no avail. They could not work with iCloud no matter how hard I tried. Finally, I turned to Mailbox and could not believe how quickly it set up. No incoming or outgoing service set up issues involving IMAP & SMTP protocols etc. it is intuitive, fast and stable. As an author and editor I need a Mail app that allows me to quickly transfer data to an from my authors. I love this app. It is transforming my life.

The best

I have used mailbox since it debuted. I like to try new apps to make sure I'm not missing out on something new and better. For email, I've recently tried google's inbox and spark- I keep coming back to mailbox. It has the simplest and cleanest user interface.

I do not like the idea of a "smart inbox" where the inbox auto-groups my emails- I find it to be confusing and makes me more disoriented when looking at my inbox.

Also, mailbox is fantastic for organizing if you use the "list" feature. Lists are basically folders, but they are so easy to create and make email so organized as compared to other mail services that either make the folders difficult to find or only allow you to search for email, which does not always result in what you are looking for.

Are there drawbacks? Sure. The fact that you can only connect to Dropbox and not to google drive and box ect... is limiting. Also the actions for notifications (archive) are unreliable. Sometimes loading emails with images can be choppy as well.

All of these critiques are minor though. As I said earlier, no other email app has compared. Maybe it's the simplicity, but it just works.

Save your other mail app

First of all, this is a great app. I use this app for 90% of my email needs. It's great for snoozing messages, and auto-archiving, etc. However, Mailbox lacks the ability to send email from an alias. I use the default mail app for most of my sent emails.

The new app "Spark" from Readdle also lacks the alias feature, but has a ton of other functionality that makes it useful. You may want to try it out. For now, I'm sticking with Mailbox, because Spark doesn't use swipe for menu navigation. But, if that changes, I intend to make the switch.
