The fast, fun mobile inbox that puts email in its place.

Note: Currently for Gmail and iCloud accounts. Other email platforms are on the way!

Mailbox is a completely redesigned inbox that makes email light, fast, and mobile-friendly. Quickly swipe messages to your archive or trash. Scan an entire conversation at once with chat-like organization. Snooze emails until later with the tap of a button — they’ll return to your inbox automatically so you can focus on what's important now.

Mailbox checks your email from the cloud and delivers it to your phone securely. Now with Auto-swipe, Mailbox learns from your swipes and snoozes to automate common actions. Mute that conversation you don’t care about, snooze messages from your friend to this evening, or route all of your receipts to a list — automatically.

Mailbox’s delightful UI and smart features make getting to zero — and staying there — a breeze. After you experience a clean inbox, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.

When Orchestra first released this app, the concepts were unique and tremendously advantageous. Deferring emails to come back at a later time, the swipes and use of folders was nothing short of brilliant. Sure the app lacked certain features, such as clients (gmail only at first and now only gmail and iCloud), drafts, native client folders, etc, but you figured those features were coming at some point. Well, the app is owned by Dropbox now, and support seems to be lacking, and those incredibly important features? Well, they are still nowhere to be found. I will definitely reconsider using this app again once drafts and folders are implemented. Until then, as much as I like the workflow, I just can't function in this app as my sole email app.

Developer isn’t responsive to bug reports

I’ve used this app as exclusively as possible since it was first rolled out, but I’m deleting it and going back to the native iOS Mail app.

Why? I get a frequent “alert” type email update from NOAA SWPC that has formatting that Mailbox can’t display correctly. This means I have to switch to a different email app every time I want to be able to read this particular email in its intended form.

Being an appreciative user of the app, I took the time to make screenshots of the app’s bug/behavior and sent it to the support email address.

The first time I sent the report, it wasn’t even acknowledged.

The second time I sent the report (again, taking the time to make/send screenshots) I did get a response thanking me for reporting it.

Apparently, the developers don’t see this bug as worth their time, as a major update (to 2.0) and sever minor updates (now to 2.03) have *still* not corrected this bug.

Though I really like some of the features of this app, I’m no longer willing to put up with this bug, and the developer continuing to ignore it.

Maybe someday this will be corrected. If so, I’ll reconsider whether this app might be right for me.

Bug fix please!

There's a super annoying bug that needs fixing. When I'm composing an email and I want to read through what I've written, I often hide the keyboard so I have more screen space to read. Then, when I tap somewhere within the text to make an edit, the cursor ALWAYS goes all the way to the bottom of the text. I then have to scroll back up to where I want and tap again where I actually want the cursor to be. This is super obnoxious with long emails, especially when scrolling to find the right spot causes the keyboard to be hidden again and then the same problem happens all over again. Fix this please.
