Almost the perfect photo storage app!

Beth in Tn

With just one or two tweaks this could be the perfect way to store photos. I love the feature where it shows you photos from this date in the past. I like the fact that the photos are organized by the date they were taken, not the date you uploaded them. This takes out the step of trying to organize the photos in the correct order. The fact that this app has unlimited storage with your prime membership is such a great value and saves so much money. But where the app falls a wee bit short, is in these ways. 1. It doesn’t tell you if you are uploading a duplicate photo. 2. There is no way to rotate the photos in the app. You have to download the photo, rotate and edit it in another app, then upload to this app. 3. When you make an album, you can’t remove the photo from the main part. So you have duplicates. At least let the people who don’t want numerous copies of the same photo delete them from the main list.

But it is all in all great app and I will continue to use it. None of the issues are a deal breaker. I think if you try this app, you will like it.

Stopped working

The app has stopped scanning/backing up my camera roll after opening. When attempting to manually upload photos from my camera roll to attempt a workaround, there is no reaction from the app at all. It just sits there. It's not frozen because I can move around within the app. But when it comes to uploading photos, it's just not working. The thing is, the last time it worked correctly was December 31, 2017. I don't know if the clock changing to 2018 threw the app for a loop? I've logged out and back in and that didn't correct the issue. I refuse to delete/reinstall the app because the last time I did that it insisted on starting over and re-uploading over 70,000 pics. I won't subject myself to that again because it takes forever to back up such a large number of photos. You would think all of those photos would be still be there after signing in again because they've already been backed up, but no dice. I'll just have to rely on Google Photos in the meantime hopefully an update fixes this MAJOR issue.

Impressive App; Needs 1 fix

One thing would make this a 5 star review: Would love it if the picture was removed from the main photos page when you add it to an album. OR at least, the app needs to clearly show if the picture has been added to an album. Currently, there is no way to know which pictures I have placed in albums. This is very annoying when you have a thousand pictures to organize.

Otherwise, love the unlimited storage of the ORIGINAL PICTURE SIZE with Prime membership!!! It’s TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE! I’m just waiting for them to take that away (please don’t take it away). Was using paid Dropbox, but I don’t have enough room to upload at original pic size (although Dropbox gives you a lot of storage, pictures are large!). This is a wonderful membership perk and well worth it!
