Wink - Smart Home
Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
Wink is the simpler way to a smarter home. Start with connected products from your favorite brands and control them all from one app. Before you know it, your home will be doing things you never thought possible.
Lights. Security. Comfort. Now they’re all connected through a single app, so you don’t need a different one for every product. Simple controls allow you to monitor and manage everything in your home. This means it can do more for you, and you can do less. Finally.
Wink brings the best brands together in a single easy-to-use app so you have flexibility and control when it comes to your smart home: Bali, Cree, Commercial Electric, Dropcam, Emerson, GE, GoControl, Honeywell, Kidde, Kwikset, Lutron, Leviton, Nest, OSRAM, Pella, Philips, Quirky, Rachio, Schlage, TCP, and more partners are added frequently.
Wink makes setup clear with step-by-step guides and videos. If you ever need help with anything, you can talk to a real human at 844-WINK-APP or email@example.com.
Wink is free to download and doesn’t charge any fees for use.
Many products work directly with the Wink app. Other products use the Wink HUB to get connected. The Wink HUB allows your diverse collection of smart products to speak the same wireless language so you can control them --and customize their interactions-- from the Wink app.
SHORTCUTS: In-app Shortcuts allow you to control multiple smart products with a single swipe. Like turning on your house in the morning or setting the mood for moving night.
ROBOTS: In-app Robots let you customize the way products talk to each other. You can have your smoke detector turn your lights on automatically if smoke is detected so you can see to safely get out.
ACTIVITY: Wink gives you the power to know exactly what’s going on in your home. Easily keep tabs when the door was opened or when the temperature was adjusted.

Totally Happy with Wink!
The wife thought it was kind of gimmicky in the beginning but she loves it now. Was really leaning towards the Apple Home Kit system, Apple Watch app, iPhone app etc. I wanted to continue drinking the Apple koolade but went with Wink due to more bulbs, switches, sensors etc. And guess what there's a Wink app for the Apple Watch and of course iPhone, iPad. So Wink had everything I was looking for and more. Phillips Hue is pricy and other than their multicolor bulbs a bit limited in what seems to work with it. But back to Wink, the dimmable bulbs feature is great for watching tv at night and creation of a Wink short cut turns all the lights off with one click when ready for bed. What if Company spends the night but does not have the app on their phone? No problem, they can turn lamps on and off by simply using the lamps on and off switch. If the lamp switch is turned off, that lamp shows up as "off line" on the Wink app. Turn the lamp switch to on and that lamp/bulb comes back online and returns control to the app. Customer support? Fantastic! Of the few problems we've had, a simple email to support and they reply within minutes.
I ❤️ wink
At first I was a little eerie because I heard mixed reviews of wink. That they were a small start up and their hub wasn't super reliable but had some nice features. They were really wishy washy and I was on the fence of which hub to get.
I ended up getting the smart things hub. It was nice. Worked fell for a few days but I ended up not being able to add some z wave things and such and my garage door was supported at first but then they took it off their app and such. I ended up returning it for the wink hub 2 and am so glad I did. I will never go back. They make it so easy to add items, to create shortcuts and to integrate with Alexa and everything else you could ever want. They make funny things to try like their egg holder and the piggy bank. I don't own either yet but I plan to. They seem like an awesome company and really have their customers at heart and know what they want because they themselves want to enjoy it also. I would fully recommend this hub and this app because I have yet to have a problem after 6 months. Flawless.
Cool app. Needs a few updates
Dear Wink developers, please add the following functionality into the app:
- intercom (should be easy to do when you are on the same wifi as relays, would be awesome if you can make it work from another location). You may instantly gain a ton of business clients who will use this feature all the time
- more control over relay configuration. Why is it that you can't change some settings within the app but can do on relay itself? Very annoying.
- general comment - please reach out to Logitech to integrate with their Harmony remotes.
