We offer the Shyft Pro subscription on a monthly, semi-annual or annual basis which allows managers to control shift approval, location privacy, tipping, content deletion and other administrative features. It is not required to get started with Shyft.

• Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period
• Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal
• Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable

Not user friendly

When I got this app I thought it would be helpful but unless your employees are doing all the work of adding their own schedules to the app it is not helpful. Trading shifts does not work unless ALL employees have added the schedules to the app. Do not pay for upgrade either it’s a rip off. I’ve asked for a refund but they will not offer it. Stating I have to go through App Store for refund, but since I purchased app and upgrade over 90 days ago a refund is not possible
Through App Store. If I can prevent 1 person from using this app my upgrade fee is worth it. Do not get this app.

***Since I wrote this review the company has contacted me several times to work with me and actually offered and sent me a refund. Although my staff does not like that they have to input their own schedules into the calendar now and I preferred the advantage of having it uploaded for me as the store owner, we will try to make it work for the time being.
The other features worked much better when they were offering this service. It streamlined the scheduling aspect. I personally felt it was what set this app apart from the other apps. I can send a text with my excel spread sheet in it to them so posting it on the app now seems like a waste of time. With all that being said I have upped the star rating because of their customer service. They all were wonderful and very professional.

Note that shift swapping can take place without the uploading of schedules - it is a feature that we happily offer as a free service.

In light of your experience, we are gladly refunding your payment while keeping the Pro features (location locking, the ability to turn off tipping and delete user posted content) turned on for your account. Note that the calendar schedule is still fully operational. The change is that our team is no longer able to manually add your schedules to the calendar. The automatic upload feature was retired for a number of reasons - mainly due to lack of use. Your employees still have the ability to add their own shifts to the calendar and any user can post a picture of the schedule.

Our goal to provide the best possible user experience and to delight our customers. We have designed our app with the end user in mind and will continue to make improvements as we roll out new features for our customers.

Good app but...

My store recently starting using shyft and we find it’s very helpful. Before we had to call and check with a manager and now all they have to do is approve the shift on the app. Super easy! However, one improvement that I think could be made is when the shift swapping gets rejected. The shift stays on the homepage with a red X, which I have to scroll through to get to shifts I could pick up. Instead of leaving the rejected shift there, could there be some message under the shift that someone tried to take it but failed and then re-open that same shift to someone else? It’s inconvenient when that person then has to re-post their shift cause they couldn’t get it covered the first time. Either that or just automatically delete the shift and notify the poster so they can re-post it. Other than that, the app is great!

Hi Sarah

Thanks for the wonderful feedback. If you would like to not see shifts that have been rejected you can edit the filters of your shift feed. To do this, open the app, go to the Shift Feed, click on the dropdown at the top of the screen and deselect 'Rejected' and save. That will prevent that set of shifts from showing.

Regarding your other concern, we have made it easy for the managers that reject the shift to repost they are rejecting so that someone else can pick it up. The person that posted the shift also has the option to delete and repost the shift after it has been rejected.

Helpful for employees and managers

As a manager I was hesitant when my company rolled out the idea of using this app but it’s been working surprisingly well for us! Our biggest issue is that it is not yet linked to our payroll system - so when someone tries to pick up a shift we have to check against everything in our system that the employee wouldn’t go into overtime or violate any minor laws. Nonetheless it’s been great for employees to easily swap or pick up shifts. As a manager the feature to post open shifts is great too ...we use it often! I think being able to tag people (@ whoever like Facebook/Twitter allows) would be really helpful as we do communicate with employees in the comments of a shyft post and this would help ensure they see it.
